“Take me home, please; I’m done with all this bullshit tonight,” I sigh.
“Jade, We’re not going back to the academy. I’m going to take you to your house. The guys will meet us there.” he smirks.
He puts his helmet back on, turns on the bike, and takes off. This time, it was not as fast as we were. I wish Spade would lie to me and take me far away from this life. I know we can’t do that. There’s too much at stake, but damn, can’t a girl wish. A cabin in the woods, just me and my two incredibly hot guys all alone. No one to bother us, no one to interrupt. Just peaceful silence in the middle of nowhere and fucking, a lot of fucking. I grab his middle tighter, leaning my head between his shoulders.
When we get to my house, I need to text Kayla and Marco. I need to know they are okay, where my car is, and everything, especially the money made tonight. Tonight was a complete shit show. Ever since these boys came crashing into my life, everything has been in an uproar, or am I just that dick drunk that I’m losing focus?
We make it to the house in no time. Spade parks but leaves the keys in the ignition. I climb off, chuck the helmet at him, and head for my front door. Entering the code, I swing open the door and let the dogs out. Spade freezes.
“Babygirl, get your dogs.”
I chuckle at him. “ No, I don’t think I will, not until you tell me what the fuck that ambush was for?” Triple A surrounds him. Circling him, waiting for my signal.
“I told you I wasn’t made aware that the Triads were going to ambush you. I didn’t even know our shipment was stolen. I’m just as stunned as you are.” Apollo snaps at him.
“Stad,” I command.
All three dogs stand still. Still waiting for my command. Spade takes a deep breath. I smile.
“Trobhad,” I command again.
The dogs come to me, on guard. I turn, and they follow through the house, and I let them out the back door.
“Is it safe to come in?” Spade asks.
“Yes, I let them out so they won’t be a bother tonight. They will patrol the grounds and keep us safe while we are here.” he nods.
“Can I check your wound? I want to make sure it hasn’t gotten dirty with all the commotion of the night.” I nod.
I walked to the kitchen and grabbed the first aid kit from under the sink. Spade walks over to me, lifting me onto the countertop. He removes my bloody bandage.
“This really needs stitches. Do you have a needle, thread, antiseptic and some whiskey?”
“I do, everything is in the kit except for the whiskey. That’s in the bar on the second floor.”
“Okay, you stay put and I’ll go grab it.”
He squeezes my thigh. Before he could leave, I grab his shirt and brought him to me. I capture his lips with mine, swirling my tongue with his. He deepens the kiss, holding my face with both hands. There is so much emotion in just one kiss. He pulls away, looking into my eyes.
“Thank you for getting me out of the dark,” I whisper.
He puts his thumb under my chin, pulling it up to look at him.
“Always, Babygirl.” He kisses my forehead and walks away.
The loss of his warmth makes me feel cold. Taking out my phone, I text Dario.
Jade: Are you good? Spade and I are at my house.
Tongue Game: Yes, Kitten. We will be there shortly.
Jade: Are my brothers and Kayla safe?
Tongue Game: The twins?
Jade: Yes, They are my younger brothers.
Tongue Game: Yes, they are good. They got Kayla out and took her home.
