“This would be a reverse harem,” Bryce corrects, and Dereck rolls his eyes.
“Yeah, I’ve heard about that.” I swallow, wishing suddenly I was anywhere but here. I’m honestly not even sure what to say or think about this. When Jamie brought it up, it seemed silly, like some sort of joke. When the guys bring it up, however, I’m right back to square one. I have no idea how to even react to this. And so instead of being helpful, I fall silent and hope that I’ll wake up before I have to engage in this conversation.
“So, what do you think?” Dereck asks. He reaches out and takes my hand, and a zing of anticipation flutters through me. I look at Dereck; handsome, charming, protective. I don’t know what I’d do if I never saw any of them ever again.
“I think it’s crazy,” I say finally. This must not have been the answer everyone expected, because all three pairs of eyes are on me as I get to my feet, chug the rest of my wine, and shake my head, looking back and forth between the three of them.
“Crazy how?” Matt asks. He, too, gets to his feet and crosses the floor until he’s in front of me. One hand moves up to touch my cheek, and he leans in to kiss me. For a second I almost refuse, almost back away, but I can’t. Not now. Not anymore. I kiss him back, losing myself in the moment, and we don’t separate until Bryce clears his throat behind us.
“Maybe we should move this up to the bedroom?” Dereck suggests. At the mere comment my face flushes with heat, and I clear my throat, breaking away from Matt.
“All of us?” I ask, trying not to act as terrified as I felt. “All of us in the bedroom?”
“Only if you want to,” says Dereck. “No pressure. We know you haven’t exactly agreed to this yet.”
I say nothing, because I don’t know what to say to make this feel more real. But it doesn’t matter, it really doesn’t, because the only thing I want more than to be standing here with three men who have somehow become the world to me is to be having sex with them. And I’m not even ashamed.
Finally.
“Jamie is here, and I don’t want to disturb her,” I tell them. “How about we do this at your house?”
