“Now, my heart, it is time to head back the Council Building.” Tet give A’Gam a stern, “Please have my mate and her friend’s packages sent to our quarters. While I am pleased that you treated my mate with respect, even when you doubted who she was, you should have called my brother and I, not our mother.”
“Yes, Sir.” She turns to me, “I am sorry, My Lady.”
“It is fine really. It could have been much worse,” I tell her. “On Earth, we have a story that is about a girl who is treated poorly by shopgirls who think she is not the right sort. You didn’t ever treat us like that, you didn’t look down your nose at us or treat us as less than, even when you asked us to leave. It says lot about your character.”
“I would hope I never judge anyone that harshly. I just asked Teyana, because she was in a few days ago and didn’t mention the mating. But I do see the error.” A’Gam looks at my mates, “ I hope I didn’t get you in trouble with your mother, my lords.”
“Not too much,” Tet states. “Our mother is on her way here now to meet our mate. She just got back to Akkadia and will leave tomorrow after she checks on her business.”
“Now, I am concerned,” I state. Their mother is on her way. What will she think of me? What will I think of her? What if she hates me?
She will love you, Tet reassures me.
We bid farewell to A’Gam and head out into the street. As we head back, Millie and I feel much better. Tet and Tan scowl at any male that looks twice at us. Who knew I would appreciate having two such scary men protecting me?
We did, they say in tandem and smugly.
Shit, I really need to block them if I want to keep my thoughts my own.
Chapter Twenty-One

“Commander…I mean, Captain” Well, that is interesting…I wonder where that came from though I suspect I know.
“Report, Gin’Gie.” I demand.
“Sir, Captain Schnel’Dn is dead. The mission was discovered too quickly and the team didn’t have enough time to leave with the product.”
“What happened to Schnel’Dn?” I ask. I suppose I will need to add that to the report.
“He tried to take a youngling from a human mated to a Caeterin.” Gin’Gie hesitates, “The Caeterin went into beast mode and tore him to pieces, Sir.” That doesn’t surprise me. The Captain got greedy and was just too stupid to live. The youngling of a Caeterin mate? He obviously knew she was mated and what she was mated to. “Sir, do you want the body vid?”
“I guess I need it.” So, I am now Captain. Well, there are some things I will need to do. “Gin’Gie?”
“Yes, Comm…Captain.”
“You are now first mate. Get back to the bridge.” I tell him, “There are things that I need to do and I will need a commander I at can trust.” Oh, I don’t trust him in the least, but he is better than any of the other males on this ship.
“Yes, Sir! Thank you, Sir!”
With that I head to Schnel’Dn’s quarters to see what he didn’t want his family to see before his brother vetted it. Before going there, I stop in the office to pull the chip from behind the panel. I place it in the reader after I secure the office. Schnel’Dn’s voice booms out of the desk com.
“Well, my boy, you are now Captain. Hopefully, because I am now retired. If not, I am dead. You have my instructions for that unfortunate event.” I don’t know if it is unfortunate, but alright I guess, “Anyway, you are the Captain of this ship and now, privy to the secrets of our benefactors. You need to head to H’Atar and meet with head of the An Ratha family. My boy, you will be in shock when you meet with them. But keep your head and you will find a way to make this opportunity fully payout for you.” Interesting… he was working with one of the biggest crime families in the Twelve galaxies. No wonder, he thought he would retire and worked to get those humans recaptured. Well, I guess I know what I need to do.
“Gin’Gie, set a course to H’Atar. Keep the cloaking on until we enter that system.” He confirms and I head to Schnel’Dn’s quarters. Now, let see what a truly sick fuck he was.
Chapter Twenty-Two

“But why haven’t you claimed her yet, my sons?” This is my new “mother-in-law”. “You don’t want other males to swoop in and claim this beautiful gem. I want grand younglings!” She hugs me like I am her favorite toy and they better do what she wants. I do like how she has taken to me, but I can barely breathe with her smothering me.
I could see both of my mates in the eyes of their mother and the set of their chins. The last few days had been tough. While we continued to have incredible sex, when not in the throws of passion they kept me a virtual prisoner and it chaffed my butt to be curtailed so much and I was ready to march out and leave them, but their mother was a surprise. I was expecting a stuck up, grand dame, but she is neither. She, also, was several inches taller than me, rail-thin and had her white hair cut in a sophisticated bob with her elf ears dripping jewelry.
“That is my fault…Ma’am.” I struggle to say. She looks at me with surprise, like I popped out of a big birthday cake.
