“First off, who told you to capture the human?” I inquire.
“Cap’n Schnel’Dn’s last orders were to find and capture all the females.” He is obtuse.
“Is Schnel’Dn in charge?” I ask, waiting for the obvious answer.
“Well… no…He’s …dead. But those were his last orders!” Still not quite getting it.
“Yes, he is dead, because of his stupidity,” I yell. “And do you know what you have done?”
“I …I …I followed orders and retrieved one of the females, my lord.” I sigh at his stupidity.
“Please say you did not take the females on board our ship.” I am going to settle this.
“No sir. The Council Guard have swarmed the station and we have not been able to transport the females beyond the safe house.” Thank the Universe for small mercies.
“Stay there. We will have someone come and take charge of the females. Out!” I know what needs to be done as I cut the com.
“What is the matter, my love?” My mate stands in the doorway. Her arms are crossed over her chest showing that she heard the conversation and is making plans to mitigate the issue. Her stomach shows our successful breeding. I smile at her. She will lay the eggs soon then brood with the help of the Ha’Atari Genetic team we have hired. I will not have problems with my offspring and my mate will know that I am on top of the situation without her interference.
“We just need to do some new hiring,” I tell her, “It seems some of our men made the mistake of thinking that an Alkadian mating is all about the claim and not just the sex.” Her eyes narrow as I grab my com and say the code.
“Yes, My Lord?” The deep voice on the other side states.
“I am terminating the employment of M’Quu and his gang. They are at the safe house,” I state. “Let the Alkadians take care of the females then clean up afterwards.”
“Yes, Sir.” I smile, knowing the Shu’Bak will do his job well. Grabbing my mate and taking her to the bedroom. I am going to enjoy fucking this ugly female knowing that I have all I have wanted and no more mistakes will be allowed.

I wake feeling like I am in a vice. What the hell is going on? Then I try to look behind me. In my periphery I see Teyana’s white hair and a flash of black skin.
“Teyana?” I ask in a half-whisper.
“Oh good, you are awake.” She loosens her arms, allowing me to turn and sit up. We are sitting on a cot in a small, plain room. “I could not let go of you. You were out and they would have stolen you away.” She gives me a hug before continuing. “I have contacted my mates and they are on their way. To where? I do not know. Those criminals threw a bag over my head. Oh, they are not going to be happy when my mates and sons get here.”
I look around the room and see it doesn’t have a window, just a door.
One way in, one way out, I think.

We know, our fathers have been in contact with her, Tan sends me. We will be there soon. Just do not let the criminals know. We want to surprise them.
