My cousin married into the family. It was considered a good match for him. Though they made him change his name and he was one of the males who died at that ceremony.”
“Yes, the mating ceremony,” Commander Max is speaking now. “Where all the An Ratha males were there to witness the forced mating of Don Gaerin An Ratha to Admiral D’Artemus’s mate, Elizabeth.”
“Another human,” the H’Atari counselor states. She looks at Kelsey and asks, “What is it with you humans that our males are going crazy for you?”
Be careful, my heart. We do not want to make her more of an enemy, I warn Kelsey.
Have a little faith in me, she tells me. “Your Honor, I don’t know why the Universe has brought these males to me. Lord knows Earth women seem to have as hard a time as your females do finding good males to marry…uh…mate with. Maybe you need to work with other females to find good males. Don’t you have a friend you can trust to tell you if a guy is nice or a real creep. Of course, males should take baths and work to please you.” The Misagian council member looks uncomfortable. “If you really can lay clutches of babies, then that is a great opportunity for any males who are compatible with your race. I think we are attractive to males who are compatible with humans. We carry our young for nine months and generally only have one baby at a time. Though we can carry twins and triplets, but that isn’t the usual.” The councilmember from Ha’Atari seems to be thoughtful. Well, I can’t very well tell her she looks like a bug, poor thing.
I maintain a straight face, but Tet and I really need to get our mate home. She is too smart and was going to cause us to lose it here in front of the councilmembers assembled.
Tet stands up, “Councilmembers, please excuse us. Our mate is tired and needs to go back to our quarters to rest. She has had quite the day and was witness to the murder of our only witness.”
We lead our mate to the door, but as we enter the corridor, the Senior Council waylays us. “Before you go. May I meet with you in your quarters? I have some thing of a delicate matter to discuss with your mate.” I look at Tet and we give a nod.
“Good…good. I will be there in 45?” he says hesitantly.
I wonder why he wants the privacy of our quarters? I say as we walk down the hall, away from the Senior Council as he returns to the boardroom.
“Oh, I think I know,” Kelsey says. “I wonder if he will bring her with him. I really would like to see Yaretzi.” With that, we return to our quarters.
Chapter Thirty-One
Kelsey
I walk into our quarters and head to the couch. “Come here, you two. I want to cuddle, before our guests come.” I tell my mates.
You want to what? Tan asks me through the bond.
“Cuddle,” I roll my eyes at them, “You know just holding each other for comfort, not sex.”
We do not know this cuddle, but for you, my heart, we will do what you ask. Tet wraps himself on my right, while Tan is on my left.
“You have never cuddled before or after sex?” I ask.
No, my heart, before you, sex was just an act with strangers and not many of those. Tan states as he wraps his arms around me and squeezes gently.
All memories of others disappeared when we first met you. Tet emphasizes his statement with a squeeze from the opposite side from Tan.
“I will say, you two take good care of me in the bedroom,” I smirk. “For that I am thankful for those nameless females. I have never felt as I do with you.”
While I am glad that we please you, I would prefer you forget those other males. Tan is a little tense and growly.
“Don’t worry, Tan.” I rub his chest over his heart. and give him a sly smile. “I forgot those others when your magic tongue pulled orgasm after orgasm from me.”
Just wait for when we claim you, you will never be satisfied by any but us. Tet chimes in.
“Somehow, I think it will be more than the sex, my love.” I gently kiss Tet’s lips, then I move to kiss Tan. Both try to move closer. Their hands sliding along my sides and petting my shoulders, neck and along my chin. Who knows where we would be if the chime on the door didn’t sound right at that moment.
My mates jump from the couch. Tet calls out “Enter”. The door opens to reveal the Senior Council and Yaretzi.
“Hey, buddy!” I call to her as I stand to greet her. “How is this stuffed shirt treating you?” She laughs and moves to hug me.
“Will you tell this dick to leave me alone?” she whispers to me.
“Is he hurting you? I will kick his ass!” I tell her.
