“Almost.” Before I can say what else I need, he smashes his lips to mine, locking our tongues together, tasting me from my mouth. It's such a silly thing, but him kissing me after he makes me come has me melting into a puddle of goo every damn time. It's so intimate and makes me feel like I'm the most precious person in the world. So does him rubbing my back and peppering kisses all over my hot skin.

“How about now?”

“Perfect.” Resting my face into his neck, I close my eyes for a while, waiting to come down from my orgasm before digging into the food he made us. The breakfast sandwiches are cold but still perfect. Cheese and eggs melt on my tongue with every bite. I stay in his lap while I devour two sandwiches and drink my juice.

“Tony?” I lick the remaining cheese from my fingers, pressing back against him.

“Hmm?”

“Aren't you going to ask what Eddie wanted from me?”

He wraps his arms around me, pressing his face into my hair. “I figured you'd tell me when you were ready.”

“Money.”

“Money?”

“Yeah. I have a lot of it. It's in a bank under a different name.”

“You have a third name you use?”

I breathe out a laugh. “That's what you got out of this whole thing?”

“What are you wanting to do with it?”

“I don't know. Use it to help my brother somehow, maybe. Half is his after all.”

“What about yourself?” He strokes my inner thighs lazily.

“I don't really need it right now. Maybe later I'll go back to school and take those trips with my brother we said we'd take. Maybe things will someday be normal for me again.”

“They will be. Sooner than you think.”

“What do you mean?” I look back at him.

“I mean as normal as they can be when you’re dating a hitman.”

I bite back a grin. “Are we dating?”

“I wasn't sure what word was most fitting. Boyfriends? Roommates who fuck? Companions? Lovers?”

“Or maybe I'm your burrito and you're my filling.”

“Or not.” He pinches my side and I squeal.

“Can you just be mine and I be yours for now?”

“I feel like you were mine and I was yours ever since I first took you to the airport.”

I beam up at him. “Me too. So what did you mean about me getting to live a semi-normal life again?”

“I spoke with Zacharias. Brought up your anxiety and how I heard Alex was wanting to do what you do full time. He's just as good and isn't on any medications.”

“And isn't me.”

“He's not, and I’d rather you not risk your life anymore. Zacharias already has me for as long as he wants me, and I've agreed to do extra jobs.”

“I still want to help. I'm good at luring people and am fast on my feet. Maybe I can even get some of your marks to come to you.”
