“You had to be there.” Bianca waves him off.

As if I can feel his eyes on me, I glance over to find Toby looking this way. I’m not sure if he’s looking at me or Ryan, with the way he’s standing ramrod straight.

Toby has been different. After the boys went to bed last night, we hung out and played cards. It was honestly the best time I’ve had in years with him. I was just so happy to be spending time with him, seeing my old friend back, I forgot all about my feelings for him. That was until I crawled into my bed and couldn’t sleep for hours afterwards because all I could think about was him. Then Bishop, then the both of them.

Toby was blowing up my phone today with text messages after he dropped me off at the dorm before he went to the hockey house to meet up with the guys.

Some of them were bringing up random things we did as kids, putting a smile on my face and making me laugh. Others, were him updating me on everything he was doing.

It’s not that the way he’s acting is bad, it’s just different and out of nowhere. I don’t hate it, but I can’t help but question it.

And from the look on his face right now, he might be back to the way he’s been acting for weeks. The mood changes with him are not something I’m used to, and I don’t know if I’m a fan.

“OH MY GOD!” I GASP as Bishop body checks someone into the boards. “Holy shit.”

“That's my brother!” Bianca shouts, cheering along with the rest of the fans.

I forgot how brutal hockey can be. It’s the middle of the second period, and I’ve seen one fight, along with a ton of body checks.

It was like a human game of bumper cars at one point.

Although, it’s nice seeing RVU getting their ass kicked in more than one way, this game has been very satisfying to watch.

That body check made Bishop a target, and I forget all about the game, focusing on him. But it doesn’t stop him, he dodges their advances and does a good job at providing defense for Toby. While Bishop is right wing, Jonas is left on the same line.

Is it odd that I think it’s cute that all the guys in my life who are on this team have to work together as their own little unit?

The game goes on and I cheer with everyone when we get a goal and boo when the other team does the same. It’s not often though because we’re winning by two.

I’m guessing Toby has turned it around since practice because he’s on fire tonight.

Bishop trades off, coming back to the players’ bench.

And now comes my favorite part of the game.

I watch like a horny little bitch as Bishop takes off his helmet, and grabs his water bottle as he listens to whatever my dad has to say. I watch as he drinks deep, his throat bobbing with each swallow. His hair is soaked in sweat and god, he’s sexy as hell. Wanna know what else is sexy? When he takes his water bottles and squirts the liquid on his face, then shakes out his hair. Fucking hell.

“I feel like that should be illegal,” I find myself murmuring out loud. Ryan chuckles and Bee snorts a laugh. “What!” I blush like crazy. “It’s hot!”

Then Jonas is doing the same, and I watch as Bee bites her lip. “Okay, I’ll agree with you on that one.” She looks like she’s ready to jump over the seats and climb Jonas like a tree. Now it’s my turn to giggle.

The game continues for a bit before the buzzer announces the end of the second period and all the guys skate off the ice to head back to the locker room.

The zamboni comes out, doing its thing.

“Oh, look!” Bee points up at the jumbotron.

“Awe,” I coo as the kiss cam shows an older couple. They look at each other so lovingly before they kiss.

They move to another set of people whose eyes go wide, and they mouth something about being mother and son. The poor guy looks so embarrassed. The crowd laughs and they move onto the next.

But then, it’s on Bee and Ryan. My eyes go wide as a laugh bubbles up. They look at each other in horror. “Sorry, dude, but I can’t,” Bee says.

Ryan turns to me. “Any chance you would take pity on me?” He looks at the screen, then at me again. “They won't move the camera.”

I look too, my heart pounding in my chest as I feel all eyes on us. “Why not, it’s just for fun.” I laugh, and then I’m leaning in and pressing my lips to Ryan.

His lips are warm and soft, but I feel nothing. The crowd cheers, but then banging on the glass startles me, making us jump apart.
