“I didn’t say you had to. I said mess around. Flirt, kiss, go on some fun dates. This is college and we are not going to spend the best years of our lives pining after a boy.”

Easy for her to say. And he’s not just a boy to me. He was my everything. Maybe that's my problem. I made Toby my whole life. It was so easy to do it because it’s what he wanted too.

Now, he’s not that person to me anymore, and I don’t know what I’m doing.

“Okay, fine. Drinking tonight, dancing with some cute boys, and just having fun.”

“That’s my girl.” Bianca kisses my cheek.

Jonas' eyes go from her to me. It’s his turn to glare. ‘Sorry’ I mouth back.

Sadly, until he mans the fuck up and tells her how he feels, Bee is going to do her own thing. I don’t feel right trying to deter her from having fun just to make Jonas happy.

Jonas lets out a low growl as the house comes into view. “I’m going to get a fucking drink.”

Something tells me tonight is going to be one interesting night.

THE PARTY IS CROWDED, loud, everyone is drunk, and I’m having the time of my life. I’ve flirted with a few cute guys and even danced with one. For the most part, it’s just been me, Bee, and Jonas.

We’ve been here for about an hour, and I’ve still yet to see Toby or Bishop. But I have seen a lot of their teammates, almost all of them with a puck bunny hanging off them, looking at them like they’re God's gift to woman.

“I gotta go piss!” I scream to Bianca over the music.

“Very lady-like, Lills.” Jonas snorts, eyes dancing with humor.

“When you gotta go, you gotta go.” I giggle, very tipsy at this point.

“I’ll come with you!” Bee shouts back, looping her arm through mine. “Watch this.” She shoves her drink at Jonas.

We weave our way through the crowd, bumping into people and giggling up a storm. “This line is too long.” Bianca pouts as we get to one of the bathrooms.

“Jonas said there's another one on the top floor,” I tell her.

“Isn’t that where more of the guys’ rooms are? I thought it was off limits to the party?”

I shrug. “If anyone gives us shit, I’ll tell them Jonas told us we could.”

“Well, I’m about to pee myself, so I’ll take the risk.” She giggles as we head down to the end of the hall where the stairs lead upward. There’re a few people who look our way, and I recognize them from the team. They don’t say anything, so they must know who we are.

“Which door?” Bianca asks as we look at all the closed doors.

“Ahh...I don’t know.” I blink, my head feeling more than a little tipsy.

“You two looking for the bathroom?” a voice behind us has me squealing. I spin around and look up at a cute guy with shaggy blond hair.

“Yes?”

“You're cute.” Bee giggles.

“And your Bishop's little sister,” he chuckles.

“Ugh, don’t remind me,” she sighs.

He chuckles again. “Top floor is closed off, team members only. But I think we can make an exception for you two.” He winks, making Bee giggle again. “Just make it quick, okay? Bathroom is at the end of the hall on the left.”

“Thank you,” I rush the words out, spinning to Bee. “Come on, let’s go.”

Grabbing her by the arm, I pull her down the hall. We can’t help but giggle the whole way. But as I pass one of the rooms, I notice the door isn’t fully closed. And then a moan drifts out, causing both Bianca and me to stop.
