But she’s right and we have to think about Toby. He’s in a frail state right now and with how in love and obsessed he is with Lilly, he’s going to see me as a threat. And I don’t think he’s going to handle that all too well.

I’m not out to steal her, but I’m not giving her up either. I am willing to share her, but she’s fucking mine now.

“Why’s that?”

“I’ve always gone to these parties with Bee. Now I’m here with you. People are staring,” she whispers.

I chuckle. “Let them stare, baby. They should be used to seeing us together by now. I literally spend all my free time with you, and I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone already assumed we’re together.”

“If they do, no one has said anything to Toby because he hasn’t killed you yet,” she says it as a joke, but I can tell she is worried.

“Hey,” I pull her over to the wall. “Everything is going to be okay.”

“I hope so.” She chews on her lip. Why is that so damn hot?

“Let’s get some drinks, loosen up a bit.”

“Yeah.” She lets out a breath. “Good idea.”

With my arm around her waist, I guide her to the kitchen. “Grant, hey!” A few of the guys on the team greet me, giving polite smiles to Lilly. I grab her a drink as we stand and chat for a bit. I’m proud of my girl for warming up and talking to the guys, even making a few of the guys laugh. They include her in the conversation and generally seem interested in what she has to say. Yeah, I’m whipped already and I don’t even care. This girl could fart and I’d think it’s adorable.

“Hey, Bishop!” a puck bunny named Molly calls, coming up to me. Immediately, I cringe. “I’ve missed you,” she purrs, putting her hand on my arm and leaning into me. She looks up at me with half-lidded eyes. “You haven’t texted me back in weeks.” She pouts. “I thought we had fun. I can’t stop thinking about that thing you did with your tongue.”

Fucking hell, this girl needs to shut the hell up. “Molly. Look, you’re a nice girl, but it was one night and I was drunk at that party. I don’t mean to be an ass, but it’s not going to happen again. I haven’t texted you back because I told you before we did anything it was a one-time-only kind of thing.”

“Oh, come on.” She pouts harder, and I see Lilly glaring daggers at the side of her head from the corner of my eye.

Grabbing onto Molly’s hand, I carefully pry it off my arm and step back. “No. Sorry. I’m off the market now. You can tell all the other girls that too. Bishop Grant is no longer single. I have my eyes on one girl and one girl only. Sorry.” I’m not sorry, not at all. It’s not that I don’t respect the girls I’ve slept with, but they knew going in that nothing would go further than one night of messing around.

Unfortunately, a lot of the bunnies just take that as a challenge.

“Oh, really?” Molly’s face slips from sweet and flirty to pissed. “Who?” she demands, then flicks her eyes over to Lilly. She’s not next to me right now but a few feet away talking to Bee and Jonas, although I know she can hear us.

“A girl who is drop-dead gorgeous, who is the best person I’ve ever met. A girl who I would walk through fire for. Her name isn’t any of your business. So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to talk to my buddies here.” I nod towards John and Peter. They chuckle, listening to the whole thing.

Molly just huffs, flicks her hair, and turns away.

“Damn, Grant. Is that the truth? You got yourself a girl?” Peter taunts.

I look over at Lilly who smiles at me softly. “Yeah, man. I got myself a girl. The best girl in the world.” I look back at him.

“Damn. I gotta meet the girl who managed to steal Bishop Grant’s heart.” John chuckles.

“Soon, my man. Soon.” I pat this shoulder.

Lilly slips away from my sister and Jonas, disappearing into the crowd. I excuse myself from the guys and hurry over to them. “Where did Lilly go?”

“She went to pee,” Bee says, slurring her words.

My brows jump and I look at Jonas as my sister closes her eyes, dancing to the music. “Don’t worry. I’ve cut her off. She will sober up pretty quick,” he chuckles.

Damn it. I can’t even be mad at this guy. “I’m going to find my girl. You, watch my sister.”

“With my life.” He nods, and shit, I think he means it. Okay, damn it, I really can’t hate him now.

Weaving my way through the crowd, I look for Lilly by the bathrooms. My body stiffens when I see her standing there talking to Trey, one of the biggest fuckboys on the team.

“You know, I’ve always thought you were sexy. I wanted to ask you out, but you know, I didn’t want to get my ass kicked by your brother,” he chuckles.
