“Oh, come on, Bumblebee. You’re telling me you wouldn’t enjoy a fine, studly man like me to defend your honor?” he teases, lifting his arm up to show off his tattooed muscled bicep.

Bianca laughs, shaking her head, and I giggle. “You’re nuts.”

“Nope, but I have two of them.” He winks, making Bee snort.

I grin because they have no idea how perfect they are for each other. All in good time, I hope.

When we get to the cafe, I’m not at all surprised to see it’s busy. “Come on. Molly and Robin saved us some seats.”

Jonas starts to follow us when someone calls out for him. “Hey, Walker!” I look over to see one of the hockey guys waving Jonas over.

Jonas looks at us, uncertain what to do. “Go,” I tell him. “It’s good for you to bond with the boys and what not.” I wave him away.

“We’re probably just going to talk about boys anyway,” Bianca says, agreeing with me.

Jonas glares at her, and I push him in the direction of the guys. “Go.” I laugh.

“Alright. I’ll see you after class?”

“Yup. We can talk about everything that happened during our first day.”

He nods and takes off toward the table. The guys get up, doing this bro-hug thing, and I smile. It slips away when I see Toby watching me.

Ugh, why does my body heat up under his attention? I lick my lips, and I swear his eyes heat. The moment is broken when a beautiful girl with black hair sits in his lap.

Unable to watch the girl paw at him, I let Bee know I’m going to go grab something to eat.

“Ugh, I don’t know what to get,” I murmur to myself as I look at the menu board.

“I’d recommend the fries. In my opinion, they’re perfect. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.” I turn to the guy who’s standing behind me in line. He grins and continues. “But don’t get the gravy. It ruins them completely.”

“Well, I can’t let perfectly good fries be ruined, now can I?” I giggle.

“It would be a tragedy, for sure.” He winks. Okay, this guy is cute and from the letterman jacket he’s wearing, he’s most likely on one of the teams. He’s tall with black shaggy hair and striking green eyes.

“So mouth watering fries are a must, anything else that you would think could taste good together?”

He taps his finger on his chin as he looks at the menu board while I smile and wait. “The chicken tendies are the bomb,” he finally decides.

I giggle. “I do love me a good tendie.”

“See, that right there makes you perfect wife material.” He winks again. “Hi, I’m Ryan Tucker, by the way.”

He holds his hand out, and I take it. “Lilliana Tatum.”

“Oh, shit. You’re Coach Creed and Coach River’s kid.” His eyes widen.

I pull my hand from his and force a smile. “Yup. That's me. I’m sure you have probably seen the video by now.”

“Video?” His brows furrow. “Ah, no. Your dads just talk about you a lot,” he snickers. “They actually lectured the team today. Told us all that we were not allowed to pursue you.”

“They did not.” My eyes widen in horror.

“Yup.” he chuckles.

“Oh, god,” I groan, covering my face with my hands. “I’m going to kill them.”

“They’re good guys. But damn, Coach is scary.”
