“No!” Both Jonas and I shout. Then we shoot each other a look before diverting our attention to the road.

“So, you're both still virgins?”

“Looks like it,” I sigh. “That’s okay, we can be the Three Virgin Amigos.”

“What makes you think I’m still one?” she tosses out there in a teasing tone.

Jonas snaps his attention down to her, giving her a glare that has me smiling hard. “Because I’m your bestie, bitch. You would have told me.”

She lets out a deep sigh, putting her head on Jonas’ shoulder. “True.”

I see Jonas’ shoulders relax a little bit, and I roll my eyes. I have no idea how I didn’t see this before.

When we get to my house, Bianca is asleep. “I got her.”

Jonas brings her into the pool house. It’s, more or less, become mine since we spend all our time here. And with three younger brothers, a girl needs her space.

Taking a seat on the edge of the pool, I slip my feet into the cool water and lean back on my hands, looking up at the starry night sky. The alcohol has pretty much left my system, and I can’t help but feel relieved at how well tonight went. I shouldn’t be surprised, Jonas is just that good of a guy. He would have never made me feel guilty for ending things.

“Hey,” he says, taking a seat next to me.

“Hey.” I move my attention from the sky over to him. “If I ask you something, would you be honest with me?”

“Always.” He nods.

“Do you have feelings for B?”

His eyes widen at my question and I note a slight blush taking over his cheeks. I can tell he wants to deny it, but he doesn’t. Taking a deep breath he nods. “I’m sorry, Lilly.”

“Don’t be.” I give him a reassuring smile. “It’s okay. I’ve kind of gotten the impression you did for a while now.”

“Really?”

“Yup. It’s partly why I don’t feel so bad for dumping your ass.” I grin wide.

He snorts out a laugh, shaking his head. “Like you don’t have feelings for someone else too.”

My smile drops, my stomach sinks, and I look away. “I don’t know what you mean.”

“Lilly, I know you love him.” Ugh, why does his voice have to be so understanding and sweet.

“I shouldn’t,” my voice is barely a whisper as I blink back tears.

“Whatever happens in the future, you will always have me and Bee.” He wraps his arm around my shoulder.

“Thank you.” I lean into his touch, placing my head on his shoulder. We just sit for a little while, enjoying the warm summer air.

“I better get going.” He helps me to my feet and looks behind me at the pool house, a worried look on his face. I can tell he wants to stay here and take care of Bianca.

“I got her,” I laugh. “Go, before one of my dads finds you here late at night.”

“Fuck,” he curses. “Last thing I need is my new coach and dean kicking my ass.”

“You’re so dramatic,” I giggle, shaking my head. “They love you.”

“Not if they think I’m out here fucking their daughter.” He cocks a brow.

“Yeah, good point.” I nod. “Better get going.”
