I tuck away my phone and try to refocus on work, but my mind keeps replaying images of Jayden from different scenarios.

Perhaps it’s not a very good idea to work in the same office as him. Even though he hasn’t shown up yet, I’m distracted. It gets worse when I can see him and smell him in the same room as me, but I can't touch him.

In no time, Jayden shows up looking dapper as ever. He gives me a wink before walking into his office. I look around to make sure no one else saw and hurry into the office after him.

“You look good today,” I say, sitting on the chair across from him.

“I know. You have the most handsome boyfriend in the whole of Winchester,” He smiles as he hangs his jacket and leans over to me, planting a soft kiss on my lips.

“I have missed you a lot,” he says.

“You saw me yesterday, and you see me every day at work,” I respond with folded arms.

“Well, it’s not enough.”

I can say the same. My gaze lingers on him. I admire how his eyes sparkle with passion and soften with warmth when he professes his feelings for me.

Occasionally, I observe the subtle way his hands move when they aren’t holding mine, the way his fingers tap against the desk.

“You know, it’s kind of fun sneaking around the office knowing that no one else knows our dirty little secret,” Jayden says with a wink.

I roll my eyes knowing where he is heading with this.

“I’m sure they would all be elated to know,” I respond. “I just… I don't know, Jayden. I don't mean to bring this up again, but considering a certain event that has happened in the past, I’m really worried.”

Jayden puts everything aside and focuses on me, his eyes searching mine.

“Talk to me.”

“I can feel that you love me, and I know that you put in so much effort to show me that you do, but I still have my doubts. I guess it's just fear, but I can’t deny that it’s there,” I respond, holding his gaze and hoping he understands.

He reaches for both my hands and gives them a reassuring squeeze. My heart melts as I feel the pressure and warmth from his hands.

“I promise you, Carissa,” he says, looking me in the eyes, “I mean this. I have never been so sure of anything else in my life. I want you and there are no games. If I’m not doing enough, just say the words and I will put in more effort.”

“No, baby. You’re doing alright,” I reply, feeling the frustration that he tries so hard to mask with a straight face. “It's just that I need constant reassurance, and I hate that I do. I hate feeling like this even if you are doing so much to show me you love me.”

“If it’s reassurance you want, you know I won't ever get tired of giving you that,” he says. “Come over here.”

He gestures to his lap as he leans back in his chair.

I glance at the door and back at him. “What if someone walks in?”

“Just do as I say. No questions.”

I get on my feet and round the table until I get to him and slowly lower myself on his lap. His hands grip my waist and slide up to slowly trace my nipples through my satin white shirt.

“This is risky,” I start to protest, but his warm hand between my thighs interrupts me.

His hands travel up my thighs until he is caressing and tracing my bikini line. My legs quiver in response.

“I love you. Do you believe me now?”

“Yes,” I reply in a whisper, suppressing a moan.

He nuzzles my neck, slowly working his way down to my tits. My eyes slowly lose their ability to stay open as I throw my head back, allowing every part of my senses to enjoy the growing pleasure.

His phone shrills on the table, startling us both.
