“Yes!” She throws her arms around my neck, and I pull her to me, kissing the side of her head. “I can’t believe this is my life.” I frown at her.

“What?” I question. She flushes a little.

“I can’t believe this is my life,” she repeats. “I mean, just two days ago, I was a single waitress/student who was trying figure out how my bank account was messed with. Now I’m jobless, homeless, carless, and the girlfriend of the sexiest, kindest, and strongest man I’ve ever met. It’s just crazy. I want to pinch myself to be sure this is real and not a dream.”

“You think I’m sexy?” I zero in on her assessment of me. “Kind and strong?”

“Yeah, Luke,” she replies. “I think you’re very sexy. I just look at you, and my panties get wet.”

“Oh fuck, baby girl,” I huff, “you’re slaying me.” I crush her lips to mine, thrusting my tongue into her mouth to drink in all her sweetness. She hums in my mouth as I devour her. We finally break apart when I hear the guys beginning to arrive. “We better get downstairs.” She nods, licking her lips, which are red and swollen from my kisses.

“Yes.” Marley giggles. “We definitely need to get down therebefore they think we are up here having sex. All three of your brothers have caught us in intimate situations already. I’ll die of embarrassment if it happens again.” I chuckle at her sincerity. “I’m serious, Luke!” she exclaims as she playfully swats my arm. “It was all I could do to eat dinner with them last night.”

“Baby,” I drawl. “My brothers don’t think badly of you. They are happy for us. I promise you that. Also, a little jealous, because they know I’m one lucky mother fucker.”

“Oh Luke!” Marley kisses me again before insisting I let her walk to the lift. I let her up reluctantly. I like having her where I can touch and kiss her whenever I want. The need to be connected to her physically as well as emotionally is palpable. We reach the first floor and head into the dining room where my brothers are gathering up around the table.

“Good morning, boys,” I say as we enter. They all look up from the doughnuts they’re inhaling. I’ll be surprised if they’ve left us even one to share. Bo grabs a second box and places it on the table. Marley opens the box to shriek in delight at what she sees. She grabs a chocolate glazed doughnut, taking a large bite. A porn worthy moan escapes her causing all eyes in the room to zero in on her, but she’s too lost in her pleasure to notice. All chatter around the table has stopped as we watch her enjoy her treat. Her eyes are closed as she chews the fluffy confection. When she opens her eyes, she looks around uncertainly.

“What? Why are you all staring at me?” Marley asks innocently, having no idea she’s made every man in the room hard.

“Baby girl, you can’t be moaning like that over food,” I tell her. She frowns at me. “Save that for the bedroom.” She blushes so cute.

“Well shit!” she exclaims. “I just keep getting myself into embarrassing situations.” She turns to me. “I blame you, Luke Robertson. This never happened before you.” My brothers crack up in laughter, and I join in because I’m more than happy to be her ruin. Marley grins as she shakes her head.

We finally get to work after more doughnuts and coffee. Marley makes an excellent secretary. She helps keep the coffee flowing and my files organized as we work through each client’s case. My cell begins ringing with an incoming FaceTime call. I’m on a video chat with a client, and I’m not inclined to interrupt our meeting. I glance at my phone to see it is Kristen. I motion to Marley. She hurries over to me. I quickly apologize to my client for the interruption. “Baby girl, can you see what Kristen is needing, take a message, and let her know I’ll get back to her as soon as I can.”

“Yes, Luke, I’ll take care of it,” Marley takes my phone heading off toward the patio so as not to disturb my client video chat.

MARLEY

Luke entrusts his phone to me so I can deal with his secretary. I shouldn’t dislike the woman as I’ve never met her, but after his phone call with her this morning, I’ve already decided that I don’t. Am I being a jealous bitch? Yep, but I don’t care. Luke is mine, and I got the feeling this morning that Kristen wants Luke to be hers. Well news flash sister, you can’t have him. I answer the call putting my best waitress face on.

“Hello?” I answer when the call connects. A very beautiful young blonde woman greets me. Her face falling when she sees my face instead of Luke’s.

“Who are you?” Kristen asks. “Where’s Luke? Why are you answering his phone?” The woman won’t let me get a word in edgewise.

“Hi Kristen,” I say in my most calm voice. “I’m Marley Morrison. Luke is on a conference call with a client on his laptop. He asked that I take a message, and he’ll get back with you as soon as he can after he finishes with the client.” Kristen’s face pinches.

“This is highly unusual,” Kristen huffs. “I’ve never even heard of you before. I don’t feel comfortable discussing client information with you. I need to speak with Luke or one of his brothers.” Iclench my jaw to keep from screaming at this woman. I try to keep in mind she’s never met me before, and how would I feel if the situation were reversed. If I’d been his secretary for a while and some random woman answered his phone I’d be concerned, too, but Luke told her about me this morning, so that should be good enough. “How long have you known Luke, anyway?” Kristen suddenly demands.

“We met a little over a year ago,” I answer even as I feel it’s none of her damn business. Her eyes narrow as if she doesn’t believe me.

“He’s never mentioned you before. I’m not going to tell you anything,” she sneers. I will myself to remain calm. “Get Luke on the phone for me.”

“I’m sorry, but I’ve already told you Luke is busy,” I reply in my best try-not-to-cuss- the-customer-being-an-ass voice. “I’ll let him know you called, although he already knows this. So I guess I’ll let him know you refused to leave a message.” Kristen huffs again. I hear the patio door opening.

“Listen bitch,” Kristen says heatedly. “Get Luke on the phone, right now!

“Kristen!” Luke shouts from just behind me. Her face pales as I hand the phone off to him. “What the hell is your problem? Don’t you ever speak to Marley like that again. I won’t tolerate you being disrespectful to her or anyone for that matter. Do you speak to my clients like this?” Luke has pulled me onto his lap as he’s blessed out the woman on the phone. He doesn’t give her time to answer before he’s turning to me. “I’m so sorry, baby.”

“It’s fine, Luke,” I tell him, “I’ve dealt with worse.” Luke kisses my temple before turning back to the woman on the phone.

“Seriously, Kristen.” Luke glares at her, “What the hell has gotten into you?”

“I…I’m sorry, Luke,” Kristen apologizes. “I don’t know this woman. I didn’t feel it was right to discuss a client with a stranger.”

“That doesn’t explain you calling her names,” Luke chastises. “What is so urgent that you were demanding to speak to me?” Kristen’s cheeks pinken. I get the feeling she was just calling to see if she could talk Luke into letting her come to the house.
