“I need more. I won't break, Markus. I‘m ready. I‘ve missed you more than you could imagine. More than I thought my heart could take some days.”

“I don’t need to imagine, Tuli,” he answered, his voice breaking. “I’ve lived in hell for the last two weeks. I thought I would never see you again, never be able to do this again,” he answered, thrusting upward until his searing heat was fully seated inside me. I grabbed onto his hand on my hips, moaning as he retreated and pushed back inside in slow, measured strokes. He played with my breast roughly, pushing my back to his chest, his hot breath on my neck.

I was a moaning mess. The hormones and separation were more than my body could handle, and I detonated within minutes. Markus grunted and continued to thrust as my core spasmed around his cock.

“Fucking hell, Tuli,” he groaned, picking up his pace, my nails digging into his arm as my pleasure continued to consume my body.

“More, Markus. Give me everything you have,” I begged. Markus moaned and pulled out. Before I could complain, he pulled me up until I was on all fours. He grabbed my hips and slammed back into me, making me cry out. He paused, a frisson of fear shooting down our bond, so I pushed back against him, taking more of him inside me. Markus resumed his pace, and I was back to moaning in no time.

“Is this what you need?” he demanded, panting. I whimpered, pushing back as he pushed forward, meeting him thrust for thrust. Markus wrapped my hair around his fist and pulled back until I was looking up at him. “Answer me, mate. Is this what you need?”

“More!”

“You want more?” he asked.

“Yes. More. Give me everything,” I begged. Markus pistoned into me, moaning when he felt my walls begin to flutter around him when I felt a second orgasm coiling in my lower abdomen.

“You have me, Tuli. All of me. My soul, my cock, my body. It all belongs to you. My heart only beats for you.”

Tears gathered in my eyes, and his words sent me over the edge. I sobbed out his name, my orgasm ripping through me. Markus’ moan turned into a roar, and I felt his warm seed filling me. It took a long time for our orgasms to quiet, and then we fell back on the bed. Markus pulled me against his chest once again, one hand settling on my stomach.

“I love you, Tuli.” He sighed, kissing my neck.

“I love you more,” I whispered, then wiggled uncomfortably.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, lifting up to look down at my face.

“I need to pee,” I answered sheepishly, making Markus laugh.

Chapter fifty-six

Markus

-A few weeks later-

“It’snotfair!Youdid this. You should feel this pain, too!” Celeste yelled at me again as she pushed. Atlas whimpered in my head at her words.

Stop whining. Dad said this might happen, and you’re not helping,I reprimanded him as I felt the hand she was holding break yet again as Celeste pushed.

“I’m sorry, I love you, Tuli,” I groaned when she squeezed harder. Her face was red, and she was sweating profusely. Celeste had been in labor for almost twenty-five hours now. Dr. West and Dr. Castle were taking shifts through her labor, and the waiting room outside was full of our friends and family.

The entire pack was waiting anxiously for the twins to be born. I hadn’t slept or left her side, and I'd watched her go through a rainbow of emotions during the last day.

She was happy, then nervous. She cried, then begged the twins to come out, demanded an epidural, and growled when someone came in with the needle. She tried to negotiate with the twins so they would be born soon. She laughed from exhaustion, and now we hit anger.

“No one tells you this shit when they talk about having pups,” she growled between pushes.

“That’s because this is the most insignificant part of having pups for a family, Luna,” Dr. West said.

“You say that because you’ve never had two alpha pups trying to tear you in haallllllllfff,” she screamed at him as she began pushing again. She slumped back against me while Dr. West lifted our pup and passed it to the nurse.

“Why isn’t my baby crying?” Celeste asked, panicking.

“We have to clear the airway Luna. Give the nurse a... ahhh, there it is,” he finished with a smile when a strong, solid wail came from the nurses’ station. She turned back around with a blue bundle in her arms, dark tuffs of wavy black hair visible. She put the baby on Celeste’s chest so she could hold him while she passed the first placenta and waited to push out our baby girl.

“Hello, baby,” she cooed, happy tears falling from her face.

“He’s perfect,” I said, choking up and trailing my hand down his tiny little cheek.
