“Damn, I’m good,” Kelly said as we all looked into the mirror together. I had to admit, she really was. I never thought I could look like this.
“Well, time to go, girls. Gillian just told me everyone is waiting for us.” She grabbed us by the hand and pulled us towards the staircase.
“Wait!” Maya said frantically. “I don’t have my shoes. You go ahead. I’ll catch up.”
We headed down the stairs and out the back door. Past the back gardens was a platform that looked down onto a field that led to the woods. It was currently littered with tables filled with food. I was to be introduced, and then we would have dinner with the pack before the run. Kelly led me towards the platform, where I could see Markus’ back to us. He turned to look at me, hearing our steps. His mouth dropped open when his eyes locked on mine. I blushed as I felt his eyes roam my body. The dress wasn’t very revealing, but I felt naked under his gaze.
That’s probably because he’s undressing us with his eyes,Kara said smugly.
Markus made his way to me, nodding to Kelly as she went to join the pack.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said breathlessly.
“You’re looking very handsome yourself. That suit matches your eyes perfectly,” I said, noticing how his grey Armani suit enhanced the color of his eyes. I could tell it was perfectly tailored to his body.
“Where is Maya? I’m introducing her first,” he said, finally able to look away from me and the dress.
“Alpha! I’m here!” Maya ran breathlessly until she reached us.
“Stay here. I will call you up,” Markus said to the both of us. The moon was starting to peak out.
“Welcome to the monthly full moon gathering. As is the custom, we will be having dinner momentarily. However, I have a couple of announcements first. I would like to introduce you to two new members of the pack. The first is Maya. She joined us about a month ago. Some of you may have seen her around the pack house as she has been a guest there until she acclimates into our home. Please help me welcome Maya to the Crescent Moon Pack!” he said and motioned for Maya to come forward. I squeezed her hand in encouragement and nudged her forward to the edge of the platform. There was a lot of clapping and welcomes when I suddenly saw Maya stiffen. I saw her mouth move, and then a growl came from someone below the platform before a body jumped up to the top and growled, “MINE.”
I gasped but was overcome with happiness when I realized it was Danny standing in front of her.

Kellylookedveryprettyas always, but walking behind her was the goddess herself. Celeste looked ethereal in her black and silver dress. Her hair was sparkling, and her eyes looked like the deepest parts of the ocean. I couldn’t help but look down at the way the dress accentuated all of her new curves, from the luscious big swells of her breasts to her hips. I wanted to grab her and mark her. Right here. Right now.
“You’re drooling, Alpha,” Kelly said as she walked past me with a smug face. I shut my mouth, which was hanging open, and regained composure. I walked to Celeste, fighting every urge to throw her over my shoulder and take her back upstairs.
“You’re so beautiful.” I wanted her to know. I’ve told her every day for weeks, and I would tell her every day until I died.
“You’re looking very handsome yourself. That suit matches your eyes perfectly,” she answered. Her eyes darkened with lust as she looked at me in the suit. I really owed Kelly. She picked it out for me, and I noted it also matched Celeste’s dress. I smiled down at my beautiful mate as she adjusted my tie.
She wants us,Alpha said smugly.Let’s get this over with so I can run with my mate already.
“Where is Maya? I’m introducing her first,” I said, looking behind her.
“Alpha! I’m here!” Maya came running towards us.
“Stay here. I will call you up.” The moon was starting to peak out, and I needed to get things rolling.

Danny was standing motionless below us, his eyes glued to Maya. I heard her gasp beside me, and I thought I heard her whisper 'Mate' moments before Danny growled and jumped on the platform.
“MINE,” he growled, unable to look away from her.
I was momentarily as shocked as the pack was at the scene playing out in front of me, then the shattering of howls and clapping and whooping when Danny crushed his lips to Maya, who wrapped her arms around his neck when he lifted her up by the waist brought me out of my stunned silence. I turned to look back at Celeste, who was laughing and clapping along with everyone else. I finally laughed and motioned for the crowd to quiet down.
“Let me rephrase that. Please help me welcome Maya, the new gamma female of Crescent Moon and Daniel’s destined mate.” There was another burst of clapping.
‘You should probably come up for air before poor Maya passes out,’I smirked at Danny through the mind-link. When he just growled back, I added,‘I’m not sure she wants you to mate her right here in front of the pack.’
‘She doesn’t seem to be objecting,’he countered, but I saw him start lowering her down. They stared at each other for a moment longer before they both finally remembered they were in front of a couple hundred people. He stood to the side, wrapping his arm around her waist and looking back at the crowd, grinning like an idiot. Maya was blushing, realizing she just made out in public. I let Danny lead her off the platform, and they stood to the side of the crowd holding each other.
“Let’s have a moment of silence for Maya’s mental health once she realizes what it means to be mated to Daniel,” I deadpanned, making more whoops and laughter ring out.
‘Asshole,’he growled at me, but I could tell there was no real anger behind it.
