“Yes, what is it?” Said Dale as he walked into Denise's office. Before she could answer Dale leaned in toward her and said, “Gimme me some sugar.” Dale then proceeded to wrap one arm around the back of her and lean in and gave her a nice and thorough kiss that left her gasping. Dale was such a womanizer.

“Ohh, that was unexpected,” Denise said with a smile as Dale let her go and proceeded to sit down in one of the chairs.

Denise then sat down behind her desk and said, “good news I'm going to assign Harry's old office to you.”

“You mean the big corner office that everybody admires?” said Dale.

“Yes, you deserve it and besides everyone knows what you mean to this hospital.” Denise replied.

“You mean what I mean to you,” Dale said as he winked at her. “One moment please,” said Dale as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He dialed Laura's number and when she answered he asked her to come into Denise's office for some good news.

Dale looked at Denise and smiled as Denise had a confused look on her face and just shrugged her shoulders. Laura arrived a few minutes later and walked in, “here to congratulate me for saving your ass.” Laura said as she walked into the room.

“No, just doing the right thing and giving you what you deserve,” said Dale. “Denise, I would like you to give Harry's office to Laura instead of me. No, I know, I've wanted that office ever since I laid eyes on it but Laura deserves it, she's been here longer than I have and has seniority, and she's one hell of a surgeon.” Dale said as he smiled at Laura.

“Dale, you really mean that?” Laura said in a soft tone. “That's the nicest thing you've done for me since you've been here.”

“Yes, I mean it. And not just because of your spectacular performance earlier today in the operating room but because you are so appreciated around here I think you deserve it.” Dale said as he shifted his smiling face from Laura back to Denise with a look waiting for agreement from Denise.

“Yes, we all appreciate your and all the fine work you do, so congratulations are in order,” Denise announced.

“Well, thank you. Thank both of you. I guess I'll go start moving my stuff,” Laura said as she walked out of the room.

“Well that was a very considerate gesture,” said Denise after Laura left the room.

“Just being polite,” Dale said as he walked out.

Laura, meanwhile, went straight to her new office to check it out. It was beautiful and something she would surely enjoy. She couldn't wait to move her stuff in. But alas, it was time to call it for the day. Laura took the elevator down to the ground floor and walked to her car. She put the keys in the ignition and turned it. Nothing. She tried to crank it over again and nothing happened. She kept trying for a few more minutes and was getting more and more frustrated. “Dammit!” She said as she slammed her hands on the steering wheel.

Just then Dale walked up and said, “how's it going?”

“My car won't start and I don't know why,” Laura said.

“Why don’t you let me give you a ride and I will send a tow truck to pick it up later?”

“Oh--I don't know, I do not want to inconvenience you,” Laura said.

“No, I would love to give you a ride,” Dale replied. “Come on let's go.” They walked around the corner and Laura found out that Dale drove his Harley on this particular day.

“Whooa, I've never been on a motorcycle before,” Laura said in amusement.

“It's okay, here, you can wear my helmet,” Dale said as he handed his helmet to her. She strapped it on and mounted the bike right behind Dale. Dale fired up the bike and revved it a few times. It was loud, real loud, and the vibration from the bike sent vibrations all the way to Laura's bones. “Hold on little lady,” Dale practically yelled so he could be heard over the loud bike almost sarcastically as Laura has somewhat of a plump figure, not overly so, but definitely curvy. With that Laura reached her arms around Dale and held on tight as he sped off.

Laura couldn't believe how amazing the ride felt. She felt so free, so alive. The powerful motorcycle right between her thighs was sending vibrations all through her body. The wind blowing up against her face and the sound of that powerful motorcycle as it throttled down the road. It was an amazing ride as they weaved in and out of traffic, up and down hills, and through the valley. But, Laura wasn't sure where they were going as they were not taking the correct path to her home. But she didn't care. She felt like she was bonding with Dale and that she could trust him completely.

They pulled off the main road and onto a dirt road that Laura was unfamiliar with. After a few miles of a winding dirt road they came around a corner and Laura got a glimpse of where they were going. Up ahead was a beautiful lake with a nice grassy knoll and a big oak tree. Dale pulled right up near the oak tree and turn the bike off.

They dismounted the bike and Dale said, “beautiful, isn't it?”

“Yes, I didn’t even know this place existed,” replied Laura. Dale extended his hand and Laura took it. He then turned and let her down towards the lake. During the walk neither of them said anything, they were just happy to be in the moment.

Chapter 6

“What is like to be the billionaire surgeon that all the ladies want to fuck?” Said Laura, emphasizing the last part as they made their way down to the lake holding hands.

“Ohhh, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. I mean, I have a big heart and love helping people…that’s why I do what I do…not for the fame and fortune.” Dale said as he gazed out over the lake. It was late afternoon and there were swans on the lake lazily enjoying the perfect weather. The trees were also radiant as they began to change colors during the fall.

“Then why do you do it…I mean you are a billionaire and can do anything,” replied Laura.
