I looked around his room. It was simple but luxurious and had a great view of the skyline.

"This is, like, the nicest hotel room I've ever been in," I blurted out.

He glanced around the room, eyebrows raised. "It is nice."

"I mean, this bench? I think it's made out of real wood." I knocked one of the legs as if to prove a point.

He nodded, clearly placating me. "Quite impressive."

"And these glasses," I said, finishing off the rest of the whiskey. It burned as it traveled down my unexpecting throat. "Really nice," I choked out.

"Charlie," he said, seriously. "You don't have to be nervous."

I cleared my throat and placed my glass down on the side table. "Who's nervous? Not me."

"Here, let me walk you to your room," he said, standing.

"Wait!" I exclaimed, grabbing his sleeve. I had way too many fantasies about this exact moment for me to screw this up now.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at me questioningly.

"I don't want to go," I said, feeling my conviction returning underneath my raw nerves.

"Why?" he asked.

Feeling bold, I took his hand and placed it around my waist. I searched his eyes for a moment before deciding it was past time to dive all in.

"Because I kind of want to throw myself at you again."

Nathan's face lit up as he pulled me to him. "I think it's my turn for that," he murmured before cupping my cheek and kissing me.

My lips welcomed his as he moved his mouth expertly over mine. I melted against him as he deepened the kiss. He walkedme backward to the bed, and his hands gripped my hips tightly as he lowered me to the edge.

He hovered over me for a moment, and I felt the intensity of his gaze on me.

"I want to take my time with you," he said.

I swallowed and nodded.

"But I'm also feeling impatient," he admitted. "I've been thinking about this moment more than I care to admit."

I smiled shyly up at him. "Me too."

He dipped down to kiss me, and I closed my eyes as my lips met his. The kiss was unhurried and gentle. I let out a soft moan as he pushed me back onto the bed and kissed my neck. I felt his stubble scratch lightly against my skin as he slipped one hand up my shirt and traced the skin on my stomach with his fingers.

"Is this okay?" he asked.

"More than okay," I breathed.

He smiled at me before kissing me again, then moving lower to kiss my neck and the valley between my breasts that was now bare as my top had slipped down. I bit back a sound as his hands explored my body and his lips met mine again. He traced his fingers down my side before grabbing the hem of my shirt. I felt a moment of hesitation as he gripped it. With my own hand, I grabbed at my shirt and started yanking it over myself.

When it got stuck, Nathan intervened and tugged it off before discarding it onto the floor. The way he stared down at me made me shudder.

"I've been dreaming about this moment for months," he said.

"Really?" I asked, pushing myself up on my elbows, not even self-conscious that only my flimsy bra kept me from being completely bare beneath him.

He nodded and slipped one finger under my bra strap. "Yes. I should have never let you walk out that night," he said, lowering himself back on top of me.
