“If you're insinuating what I think you are, Cameron bloody Stone,” I hiss, turning to glare at him, “then you’ve got another thing coming, you arrogant, fat-headed di?—”

He grins lazily and sighs. “God, you’re fucking stunning.”

My mouth drops open in shock.

“I’ve never been attracted to another woman as I have you.” I rear back at his confession. “You’re stunning, Hol.”

“I'm going to go,” I say, moving away. Cameron wraps his hand around my wrist, tugging me back to face him.

“Are you and Jeremy together or not?”

“Get off, it’s none of your business!”' I yank free and storm off. I’m two steps from the door when someone hauls me round and lips crash to mine. Whistles explode around the room; I'm locked in by two large hands and soft, groaning lips. My eyes spring open to find deep green balls of moss burning back at me. I gasp. He sweeps in his tongue, enticing a flush of heat from me. My god. It’s like all those years before. Electric. Charged and all-consuming. Cam walks me back until I hit a hard surface, his body crushing me as his mouth moves passionately over mine. His hands are in my hair, his erection pushing into my stomach. He groans loudly, and I slam my hands into his chest, causing him to stumble backwards. My hand is moving of its own accord until it connects with his face. The sound is loud and sharp. The whistles stop and the bar quietens.

“Holly,” he breathes. Desperately.No!

“You bastard!” a woman's voice cries hopelessly. Wine splashes over Cameron's face, spraying me in the process.

“Shit!” Lurching away, I blink to see Nadine crying openly. “I didn’t. I’d never,” I whisper.

“Nadine!” he panics, guilt stricken. Nothing has changed, it seems. Once a cheat, always a cheat.

“Fuck you! Both of you,” Nadine sobs. “I’ve never been so humiliated,” she croaks and rushes out of the bar.

“What did you do!” I accuse. How could he do that to her? I stumble from the bar and rush home. I can’t believe he kissed me.

In front of his girlfriend.

Publicly.

But he did, and my stomach swoops with a level of emotion that rattles me to the core.

I need to get home. My legs move quicker. My heart beats to the fast click of my heels. I begin to jog, then run until I'm panting my way up the drive and crashing through the front door.

Keeley screams, yanking a cushion up to hide herself. “Fucking hell!” she yelps, wide-eyed and pale. I hear the low wail and scream from the TV. She’s watching a horror movie.

“Sorry,” I gasp.

“What’s wrong?”

“I… Something happened.” Shaking my head, I kick off my heels and go into the kitchen in a daze. Keeley joins me and takes a seat at the table. She bites her lip, and I frown at her. “What?”

“Your lipstick is all over your face.”

“What!” I exclaim and rush to the mirror by the front door. “Oh my god.” Grabbing a scarf off of the side, I start rubbing the red stain off my face. Keeley is laughing quietly.

“So you pulled, then?” she teases.

“No,” I mutter, returning to the kitchen and making a hot drink. “Tea?”

“You kiss yourself?” she presses further. “I’d love a tea.” She wiggles her brows.

“Whatever gossip you hear tomorrow, it’s not true,” I warn her. “How was Beau?”

“She was great. I love her. She's such a great kid.” I smile over my shoulder at her and say thanks. “So this gossip then?”

“Cam kissed me,” I say quickly.

“Really. You lucky bitch!” she gawps at me. “Wait, isn’t he dating Nadine?” she asks, puzzled.
