Leeson: Want me to come and get you?

I paused. What was he talking about?

Leeson: You can sleep with me in my bed or on the couch with the blankets if you’d rather so you can get sleep before your exam in the morning.

That did sound nice. It sounded more than nice. I typed out a message, saying it was okay but…

Leeson: Pack a bag. I’ll be over to pick you up in fifteen minutes.

I was ready in ten.

I jumped inside of his car. Reaching over the center console, he leaned in to kiss my lips before his head turned towards my neck. Shivers rushed up my spine as he scented me.

Another thing I now more prevalently noticed my omega liked immensely.

“You smell like Silas?” Leeson narrowed his eyes, though he didn’t look upset by the revelation.

“What?” I acted like I had no idea what he was talking about, lifting my arm for a sniff. That was all it took to have him howling with laughter the rest of the way back to the apartment.

“I figured that you’d want a snack,” Leeson said as we walked through the door.

Recently, I always wanted a snack. Leeson made me a peanut butter sandwich. Afterwards, I was full and finally tired. Tucking me into his bed, he crawled in after me, sensing how tense I was.

“What’s wrong?” He asked, reaching out for me.

I settled myself to lay on his chest. “I’m fine.”

“It’s too late to lie.”

And I was tired. I could easily just tell him that. Though then he’d likely never let me go back to my dorm to sleep by myself. Which also didn’t sound so awful. Though then, I’d also have nowhere that I’d meet Silas, even if it wasn’t as soft or comforting as this was right here.

I nestled into Leeson.

He rumbled happily as I scent-marked him without realizing it.

“Just nervous,” I admitted.

“What about?”

“This coming weekend.”

Leeson’s forehead creased.

“It’s spring family weekend,” I explained.

“Ah,” he said. “Is your mom coming out?”

“She says she is.”

“And this is a bad thing?”

“No.”

He looked back over his shoulder.

“I don’t know,” I corrected. “I love my mom. I do love her, but I don’t know what she’ll think when she gets here. I still haven’t fully declared my course of study and I don’t know what I want to do and most of all…” My eyes stuck on him.

“Ah,” Leeson said again.
