Diego shakes his head. “Yes. Real Madrid won, woman. Did you not see the game? Let's make it a night to remember."

We settle into a cozy corner booth, and the lively chatter of the bar surrounds us.

I study the menu, and I feel as if I’m reading things which would never usually be on a menu.

“What the hell is this?” I ask.

“The cocktail menu,” Diego says as he winks at me.

I roll my eyes as he pulls me closer toward him.

“I can help you choose. If you want you can go for a mojito.”

Cristina’s eyes widen, and she starts to giggle. I look her dead in the eye, because I’m not amused at all.

“Maybe you should get a millionaire,” I say to Diego.

“When I’m a billionaire.”

Of course, he says that often enough.

“Yes, you should go forold-fashioned cocktail.”

When there are so many cocktails to choose from, and he thinks that the most boring one on the menu is the best one for me.

He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close.

“Yes, you should go for the porn star martini after the way you were behaving in the suite earlier,” I suggest to Diego.

My heart races as I feel his arm which was on my waist travel down to in between my legs.

“Hey, you guys leave that for the hotel suite!” Lucas warns.

Diego shifts his hand away and then looks away. He’s adjusting himself in his seat, which means like me, he was turned on by our little conversation. The server comes to take our orders, I think about pacing myself, because once again I don’t want to get drunk and make a fool of myself.

“She’ll have the lazy bitch!” Diego says as the server asks for my order.

“Maybe mihermano1 wants a cocktail called the Filthy Liar,” Lucas says.

Diego’s eyes look as if they’re about to pop out of his head. Lucas is rolling his eyes, acting as if he has no idea why he said that, and I turn to Cristina who shrugs.

“Can someone tell me what’s going on?” I ask as I direct my attention to Diego.

“Well, it seems that the flight and tickets for you to get here were done by Lucas.”

“Say what!” Cristina screams.

Whereas I’m not amused by what Diego just said, it just sums him up all over. My brain starts to scramble about the messages I received and why I never picked up on it not being Diego when I received them.

“Are we not having a good time? My brother is stubborn, don’t go …” Lucas pleads as I smack Diego on the arm and push him so that I can leave.

“I made a mistake, Leticia. I didn’t mean it.”

I shake my head, because it feels as if the moment I’m getting closer to Diego, he does something to upset me all over again.

He bends down on his hands and knees. “Leticia, please forgive me for being an idiot.”

It’s not exactly the word. I would use to describe him. I motion for the server to come over again and she does, ready to take our order.
