Her legs spread as I slide the fabric of her panties, my fingers skimming her wetness. Our mouths are fused together as I stroke a finger lightly over her pussy before pushing it inside her. The moan she releases makes my cock throb. She arches up against my hand, begging for more, so I sink another finger inside her.

“Fuck, angel. You are everything I want and need. It’s surreal you’re here with me, loving me, your wet pussy strangling my fingers.” Pulling back slightly, I stare at her, mesmerized as she writhes around my hand in pleasure.

“Ohh, goddamn. I love when you talk to me like that.” Her head falls back against the seat as the Ferris Wheel climbs higher and higher. “Don’t stop, whiskey tango. Please don’t ever stop.”

She’s an ethereal goddess, the festive lights of the Ferris Wheel flashing over her porcelain skin, from green to red. Her cheeks are flushed from the cold and the desire that heats her insides.

When she rolls her head to the side, her lustful gaze burns into me, lighting my skin on fire. Her hips roll against my hand while whimpers and moans fall from her parted lips.

“You are so fucking beautiful, angel. The most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my entire life.” Sealing my lips over hers, my tongue glides along the seam of her lips. When they part, my tongue slips inside, dancing with hers. “Mine. All fucking mine.”

My fingers move faster, plunging in and out of her wetness while the desire burns through my veins. An intense need to make her come grips me so hard that I forget where we are.

Her pussy grips my fingers so hard, it’s as though she can’t stand the thought of them not being inside her. “Yours,” she whispers, her voice cracking. “Always yours.”

As the Ferris Wheel spins, I remove my tongue from her mouth, kissing her thoroughly on the lips before pulling back. “That’s my good girl. You belong to me, just as I belong to you.” A growl rattles inside my chest. “Come for me, angel. Soak my fingers with your juices.”

“Chase!” Her pussy is squeezing me like a vice, her head falling back as she pulses around my fingers, gripping my jean-clad thigh so tightly it hurts. “Oh, God.” Her breathing is rapid, straining against her jacket, as her body trembles until she’s spent. I chuckle at the awestruck expression on her face, her gaze on the vast field of twinkling stars in the sky. “So beautiful.”

“Beyond breathtaking. Even my dreams pale in comparison.”

Her head turns to mine. “You’re not looking at the stars, are you?”

I shake my head. “No. I’m looking at something far better. The most magnificent sight I’ve ever laid eyes on.” As my lips move lower to hers, I whisper. “You.”

MACKENZIE

Three blissful months have passed since that amazing night on the Ferris Wheel when I soared among the stars with Chase’s lips on mine and his hand inside my pants. We are insatiable, constantly craving one another’s touch, affection, and attention. It’s pure bliss.

Chase called Stacey on January 2 and informed her we’d love to work for her. She was ecstatic and brought us in for training two days later. I alternate between waiting on tables and helping Stacey bake decadent desserts while Chase alternates between running the register and waiting on tables. I’ve enjoyed the job, saving as much cash as possible for post-graduation whenever Chase and I begin searching for an apartment. I’m so excited, I’m counting down the days. As much as I love my dad, being alone with Chase as much as possible is what I crave.

The fourth week of January, Chase and I began attending cyber schooling. Both of us thrive in this environment where we don’t have to worry about petty bullshit, bullying, and drama, focusing on our education.

Settling into the sofa across from Emersyn, I flash her a bright smile. “So much has happened. I don’t know where to begin.”

Emersyn gives me a warm smile. “Wherever you want.” She stares at me for a couple of beats, her head cocked while she chews on the end of her pen. “You’re different, Mackenzie. Happy. Content. And confident.”

My smile widens so much that my cheeks ache. “Life is going so well. Sure, I still have those rocky moments where the trauma rears its ugly head, digging into me like claws, threatening to drag me into the darkness. But Chase is always there to pull me into the light, and I do the same for him.” Crossing my legs, my hands clasp around my knee, gratitude on my face. “Thank you for never judging me. Most therapists probably would’ve said Chase and I have a trauma bond and are co-dependent. They probably would’ve told me to separate from him until I could love myself, standing on my feet until I was an independent woman. But that wouldn’t have worked for me.”

Emersyn crosses her legs, balancing her notepad on her knee. “I’d never say that, Mackenzie. I’m a firm believer that my role is only to help guide you in finding a path to healing by forgiving yourself for your mistakes and not punishing or blaming yourself for being held captive. I didn’t need to do that. You were already on that path.” She shifts in her chair, her smile warm. “As far as your relationship with Chase, there is no trauma bond that I see. Just two young adults who are in love, even if one lived in denial for a while, refusing to acknowledge her feelings.” Emersyn winks at me, a mischievous grin on her lips. “There’s nothing wrong with forging a partnership, a team, that relies on one another. Humans are social creatures, and we need things like safety, security, shelter, love, and affection. A sense of belonging. Chase provides that. You’ve made new friends, you deepened your bond with your father, and you have a dog that loves and heals you. You’re doing well in school and at work, adjusting to the newness with astounding grace and competency.”

Her gaze is warm and understanding. “You and Chase remind me of me and Liam. Like us, you and Chase met under the worst of circumstances. There was a lot of distrust on your end because you feared he was there to replace your brother, thanks in large part to your mom. You differ from us because you were held captive together. In the depths of hell, your love and trust continued to grow and expand. And now, the two of you exhibit a rare love and deep respect for one another, interchangeably being there and showing strength for the other whenever they need it.” She shrugs, a twinkle in her eye. “Why would I complain about that? Seems perfectly healthy to me.”

All the tension drains from my taut body from her words. Swinging my foot, I grin at her. “When you put it that way, I wonder why I thanked you for not judging me.”

Emersyn laughs, her face lighting up. “You make my job easy, Mackenzie.” Her expression clouds as she studies me. “I don’t mean to dull your sparkle, but have you heard from your mother?”

I shake my head. “She returned to the house while Chase and I were working and retrieved the vast majority of her belongings. My dad tried to give her an update about how well I was doing, but he said she froze before pinning him with her cold stare. ‘If she’s with Chase, I don’t want to hear anything about her.’ I’ll admit, that cut like a knife through my heart.”

“I’m sorry, Mackenzie. I wish I had a good explanation for her behavior. I believe she’ll regret her behavior in the future.”

I push the negative emotions aside. “It’s her loss. Just like Chase’s father, the abusive asshole who beat and abandoned his son like a coward. We don’t need toxic people in our lives, bringing us down. We’ve endured enough of that.”

“Very mature response, Mackenzie. And certainly very true. That’s a good outlook to have.”

I lift one shoulder. “Life is too short to deal with that kind of negativity. I choose happiness and contentment. Let the drama queens of the world find and torture each other with their petty games and lies. I don’t need it.”
