“I’m sure I don’t know what you mean,” he cooed, dodging when I tried to smack him. “Totally worth it.”

I threatened to put a spirit in him that liked to punch himself, and he told me good luck finding one so messed up. Well, fine, that was a really specific weird thing, but I’d found some seriously messed up spirits, so it wasn’t too crazy of an idea.

I had a working theory about spirits being trapped in the moment of their death. Clearly, they weren’t all there as they weredeadand that had to be disorienting.

But like the spirit who wanted to do the puzzle… There was no sane reason to stay in limbo to finish a damn puzzle. Something had to happen with violence or at least not peaceful deaths that kept whatever consciousness they had in that moment.

Which really sucked because if no one would work with them, why did they deserve that fate? But I couldn’t really blame Gaia either because she hadn’t murdered people.

Maybe the death part was separate from her nature everything and death, likeDeath, was a sadistic bastard?

I wasn’t sure, but discussing it with the guys was actually nice and they were interested too, from the possessing and witch side but just also their own spiritual side. They definitely weren’t the typical shallow and dumb hot young guys.

And that was sexy. I liked men who used their brains.

I dove back into work and then it was dinner before we headed out to the new barn to store equipment with the secret room for witch stuff in the back. I summoned the spirits on the agenda, and two went with my theory about being trapped in the moment.

The first wanted to finish watching Game of Thrones now that it was done. That is not a reason to hold off the afterlife. A woman of twenty who died too young should not be held back because of that.

But it had been the last thing she’d been doing when she died. A horrible accident on a bus, but now she had this pull to finish it. Weird, but she brought a fractured spirit with her as payment for one season and I put her into Jackson.

Next was a gamer who wanted to get to a certain level in 7 Days to Die and he went into Jesse who had a new appreciation of computer games. But again, that wasn’t a reason to miss peace in the afterlife, but he wouldn’t talk about how he died which made me think he might have been a suicide.

They tended not to like to discuss it because people judged. Even in death, people judged. He’d already brought his fractured spirit and was just getting a few hours tonight.

I summoned our shrink spirit and Jared and I had half an hour of therapy and then I had a half an hour alone. We called on the guy twice a week since the first time and all of us said it helped.

There were a lot of balls in the air and worries and it helped to really discuss it. Especially when they all admitted they were more afraid after my mother showed up about the BDE witches than they’d been of her.

So we had a professional that helped us. After that, it was our date night which unfortunately I totally zonked out for. I put the spirit back and we went to watch something on Netflix in my bed and I think I was out before we even picked.

I woke when Jared carried me back out to the barn to send the other spirits back. “Sorry.”

“It’s okay, nugget,” he murmured as he nuzzled my neck. “We’ve all been burning the candle on both ends. I napped too. We’ll call the date a sleepover.”

Fine by me. I did what I needed to, and my strong man carried me right back, getting a kiss for the fare and then I fell asleep.

And woke to a man who was hard and wanted attention.

“Sorry, he’s getting impatient,” he chuckled against my hair, knowing I was awake.

I rolled over and snuggled up to his chest. “I think we can tonight if you want? Jesse and I are on the same wavelength a lot, and it’s not been such a hard adjustment as with Jackson especially since when we started.”

“I don’t want to risk it and push you,” he murmured, kissing my neck. “Are you still tired?”

“No, I slept really well.” I could see in his eyes what he wanted, pulling off my clothes and pushing him onto his back. “I love you, Jared.”

“I love you too, nugget,” he breathed as I leaned over and took his cock in my mouth.

I fuckinglovedblowing my men. They so,soenjoyed it that each time was like the greatest gift ever.

I bobbed my head faster and faster as I stared into his eyes. I hummed a bit as I played with his balls and he finished, his whole body jerking it was such a good one.

I pulled off of him and moved to straddle his lap, rubbing my wet pussy against him. Jared liked to watch me, his eyes eating me up while patiently letting me do my own thing.

Jackson couldn’t take that. He liked to make sure I was completely loved on. Jesse liked things more even, but Jared was a bit spoiled and while he spoiled me, he wanted that too. He wanted me to put on a show for him and enjoyed me taking the lead which I liked too.

Hell, I loved being with all of them and how different they were.
