I manage a weak smile, blinking my heavy eyelids as Zeke chuckles. He sits at my feet and puts them into his lap. Zeke rubs and I truly think that I have died and gone to heaven.

“Now that’s out of the way,” Gunner says, brushing a lock of hair behind my ear. “There are some things we need to talk about.”

“I know,” I say, biting my lower lip. “We have a lot to figure out.”

“We don’t have to do it all at once,” Rex says. I turn my head to look at him and he smiles. “First things first.”

“Right,” Zeke agrees, still rubbing my feet. “Like your dad. Do you want him killed?” He stares at me earnestly and I realize that he’s serious.

“No!” I shake my head. I know my men would kill for me, but that’s not the answer. I think I humiliated my father today, running out of my own wedding. We’ve done enough.

“Okay,” Zeke shrugs.

“But we’re going to keep you safe,” Gunner growls, and I pat my hand on his chest to calm him.

I sigh, lowering my eyes. “It’s my fault. I should never have trusted Bianca.”

“Goldie!” Gunner says sternly. His fingers touch my chin to tilt my head upwards. “It’s not your fault she double-crossed you.”

I sniff. I’m relieved, but I still have to ask. “She said that you guys called her. That you invited her out.”

“We did call her,” Rex replies, his hands massaging my shoulders. “But we were trying to findyou. By the time we got Bianca’s number, she had already changed it.”

“We wouldneverwant Bianca,” Gunner grumbles.

“We only want you! Always and forever,” Zeke says, and he’s flashing his bright white grin.

“We love you, Goldie,” Rex says.

“We want you to be ours,” Gunner says. He still sounds gruff, but there’s a tinge of vulnerability in his voice.

“Your old lady?” My jaw drops open.

“Yes,” Zeke smiles, and I feel my heart flutter in my chest.

I can’t believe it. I imagined my dream proposal, just like every other girl in the world who has a sweet spot for romance. I always hoped that a handsome man that I was in love with would drop down on bended knee. I never could have dreamed ofthis.

“Yes,” I say breathlessly. My lips twist into an enormous smile. “I love you guys, too.”

Chapter 40

Goldie

This isn’t how I pictured my wedding.

It always seemed given that I’d wed in a stuffy church in a stiff, starched white dress. It should go without saying that I only counted on having one man.

But, here I am.

“Goldie!” Kiki gasps. “You look beautiful!”

“Amazing!” Kitty agrees, her hazel eyes wide.

I smile at my reflection in the mirror. The girls did my make-up for me and helped curl my blonde hair into loose waves around my shoulders. My dress is white, but it’s made of slinky silk instead of lace. It drapes over my curves instead of hiding my body and the neckline is cut into a deep V-shape.

“Y’all look gorgeous, too,” I reply, and Kiki pulls me into a hug.

Biker weddings are anything but traditional, and Kitty and Kiki are serving a type of dual role. They’re going to be flower girl and joint maids of honor and they’re dressed in matching green cocktail dresses that highlight their auburn hair.
