We move on to other topics, but I know this conversation has deepened our connection. Dean now has a better grasp of how extraordinary Miriana is, and how fortunate we are to have her in our lives.

Chapter Fifteen

Miriana

It's been a few months since Dean became a more significant part of my life, and it feels like he's always been around. We've created some unforgettable memories together, experiences that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

We began exploring the globe together, each trip being an exciting new adventure. One of my favorite memories is our impromptu weekend getaway to Paris, where Dean insisted on visiting this quaint little bakery right by the Seine. We savored croissants and hot chocolate while watching the boats drift by - it was such a romantic, heartwarming moment. At that time, Kyle was back in LA and I missed him a lot. He was the one to suggest we should leave to strengthen our bond and ensure Dean felt a sense of belonging. Our relationship dynamics are unique and profound. Kyle's protective instincts have kicked in, while Dean is endearing, affectionate, and unexpectedly a bit possessive.

Our first trip as a trio to Japan was another highlight, where we were captivated by the tranquility of zen gardens and the beauty of sakura trees in full bloom. Dean was entirely immersed in Japanese culture, and I loved seeing him so engaged and lively. We roamed the streets of Tokyo, trying out various street foods, sharing laughter and light-hearted banter. That trip was unforgettable, and it was a much-needed break for Kyle, who hadn't taken a vacation longer than three days in years. Japan provided us with a serene and beautiful escape.

Our evenings at home were just as precious. I recall one night where we decided to whip up a gourmet three-course meal. Kyle took on the role of head chef, while Dean proved to be a fantastic assistant. I was banned from the kitchen because I'm the usual cook. It's my way of showing care and affection that words often can't express. They struggled to follow complex recipes with my guidance from the sidelines, but the meal turned out to be scrumptious.

One day, we decided to have a silent dance-off in our kitchen. Dean and Kyle battled it out with goofy moves and wild stunts, while I acted as the judge. I can't recall who won, but we laughed until tears streamed down our faces. Neither of them is the type to back down easily.

The most hilarious moment was our decision to host an 80s-themed party. We donned vintage outfits and wigs from the era and grooved to the era's pop music. Dean unveiled his hidden dancing talents, while Kyle showcased his incredible sense of humor. That night was an absolute blast.

The connection I share with Kyle and Dean transcends basic respect. It's a profound and intense bond, a friendship that's evolved into a family and a deep-seated love. I'm reminded every day of their importance in my life and my significance in theirs. Kyle is my rock, my confidante, and my lover. We've weathered many storms together, each one only strengthening our bond. There's no obstacle we can't overcome together, and our love continues to flourish.

With Dean, it was a whole different ball game, but equally as special. When that guy walked into our lives, I uncovered a fresh dimension of love. He’s an incredible dude, both kind-hearted and affectionate. He makes me feel cherished and desired every single day. We've forged a deep bond rooted in mutual respect and trust.

Seeing them chit-chat about their secret plan always brings a grin to my face. I know that whatever they're cooking up will be yet another testament to how tight-knit we are as a family. I'm thankful for every moment I get to spend with them and the love we share. Our home is truly one-of-a-kind, bursting with love, fits of laughter, and secrets waiting to be unearthed. I'm all set to tackle whatever the future throws at us because I know we'll face it head-on, united as a family at heart.

The sun's taking its sweet time settling as I pull my wheels into the garage. I glance at my wrist, grinning at the intricate roses and chains etched into my skin. A tiny marvel of art I hold dear. But it’s not my only hidden gem. Nestled on the petals of the roses are their initials - a silent shout-out to the bond we got. I get a kick outta wondering who'll spot it first, if they ever do.

The garage door thumps shut behind me, leaving me in an uncanny quiet. Odd, 'cause our house usually hums with sounds, echoes of Kyle and Dean. But now, an unnatural silence hangs. I head for the door into the house, nudging it open with a creak. But inside, it's pitch black, like the lights just gave out. A chill chases down my spine, my heart starts racing as my mind yanks me into a recurring nightmare. Only this time, there is no waking up.

“Kyle?” I holler into the black, but get nothing. I inch forward, torn between heading to the living room or high-tailing it back to the car. “Dean?” Still nothing but silence.

Just as I'm caught in this deadlock, two arms snatch me from behind. My bag crashes to the ground. I start to scream, fighting back, my heart pounding like a wild drum. But then Dean's familiar scent hits me, and I ease up. “It's me, little one,” he teases, guiding me toward the living room. His warm breath on my skin sends a shiver down my spine, and his presence soothes my nerves.

“You're an idiot.” I swat his arm, but he just cackles. I've aged ten years in a minute and he finds it funny.

“Surprise,” he murmurs as we follow a trail of rose petals and candles. “It may seem kinda corny, but this is my first real-life month, and I wanted to share it with you.”

My cheeks are wet with tears as I lean into Dean. The fright from before and the sweetness of now hit me like a freight train.

“Hey, sweetheart, you okay?” he asks, a note of concern in his voice, pulling me close.

Sweetheart? The word bounces around in my head as I give a slow nod. “Yeah, I'm good,” I turn, getting lost in his intense gaze.

Kyle strolls in, decked in jeans and a crisp white shirt. “Dinner's nearly done, babe,” he grins, then turns serious. “Everything okay?” he asks, one eyebrow arched.

I nod again, letting out a sigh of relief, sandwiched between the two men I love.

“Got a hot date?” I rib him, putting on a fake pout.

He lifts my chin and plants a kiss, “Nah, doll, why? You gonna get jealous?”

I've never been the jealous type, but the idea of him with another woman does rankle me a bit. “We could hit up Hellfire sometime. I bet Martin would enjoy getting to know me.”

The protective growl from both of them catches me off guard. Dean's arms tighten around me as Kyle steps forward. “Ain't we enough for you anymore?”

I dig their reaction, but I was just pulling their legs.

“Maybe it's time we remind you how good we make you feel.” Kyle’s hands slide down my sides, making me hold my breath. I'm on fire just thinking about feeling them again. Will I ever get enough?
