“This restaurant is overrated anyway.”

He didn’t need any other encouragement before he got out of his seat and pulled me up with him.

“Oh no, again? What is up with you two?” Cookie said.

“How long are you going to be like this? It’s already been a month of nonstop banging with you two,” Connor said.

“I’d get used to it if I were you,” Kaden told them.

We walked out of the restaurant, and he pulled me into his arms, kissing me as if he couldn’t wait to get me alone.

“So you’re really okay with having just me?” he asked. “Doing this for the rest of our very long lives? You won’t get bored of me?”

“Were you there last night? Is it possible to get bored of that?”

“What if you’re wrong and you do get bored?”

“Why do you keep sayingme? How do you knowyouwon’t get bored?”

He didn’t understand. I couldn’t get bored. Not the way I felt about him. In a thousand years from now, if he told me he had to leave for a month, I’d still miss him every day he was gone. The love I had for him was so intense that it was both invigorating and terrifying. It was so overwhelming that I wasn’t sure I should put it into words, because I’d scare him away.

“It’s hard to explain. I just know I won’t.”

“You don’t have to explain. I know exactly how you feel.”

As impossible as that seemed, I believed him.
