“Anything interesting?”

I squinted. “Two Marias? Really?”

He rolled his eyes. “I see she didn’t hold back.”

“I’m just teasing. But yeah, she told me all the juicy stuff from back in the day.”

Felicity had told me the first summer she met Sig, he’d been dating two women at the same time—both named Maria. The women apparently knew about each other and had threesomes with him.

“I liked to party in my younger years. So sue me.”

I held my hands up. “No judgment here.”

“Someone had to have fun on that trip. Leo spent the last part of it miserable, whipped, and fawning over a woman he thought he could never have.”

“Do you still have threesomes?” I asked, feeling brazen.

“The only thing worse than one woman I’m not all that interested in would be two. So no.”

“I’ve never had a threesome,” I offered.

“Thanks for sharing.”

“I’d be too jealous,” I admitted. “I’d never be able to enjoy myself.”

He glanced over at me. “There’s an art to it.”

“In what way?”

“Making both women feel equally desired. It’s hard work, but effective if you know what you’re doing. Nothing I have the energy for anymore, though.” He sighed. “What else did Ginger recklessly divulge about me?”

“Nothing bad. She said you’re an amazing cook and echoed what she said on the patio about you being there for her when she was going through tough times with Leo.” I paused, recalling what Felicity had told me about her tumultuous romance with Leo before they finally sorted things out. “They have quite the story, those two.”

He chuckled. “More drama than a Korean soap opera.”

My eyes widened. “You watch K-dramas?”

His expression softened. “Britney used to like them.”

“Ah.” My heart clenched. “What do you watch?”

“I don’t watch the telly much.”

“What do you do for fun?”

“I work long days during the week. By the time I get home, shower, and cook dinner, it’s fairly late. I collapse into bed and do it all over again the next day.”

“That doesn’t count as fun. What about on weekends?”

“Depends where I am. Some weekends, I go to Westfordshire and hibernate at the inn. Others I stay in London.”

“If you have a date, you stay in London?”

He shook his head. “I don’t really date.”

“But you hook up with women.”

“Occasionally…”
