A horrifying thought pierced my clouding mind: was this the end?
Here, on this alien planet, surrounded by unknown dangers?
Was I to meet my demise not at the hands of a massive creature, but by a treacherousplant?
Despair crept in, and my strength waned.
My legs buckled, and I felt the cold, alien ground against my cheek.
Every breath was a laborious effort, my lungs straining for air.
Tears streamed down my face, partly from pain and partly from the sheer overwhelming nature of the situation.
All turned to black.

“Ten…”
The voice echoed softly, pulling me from the blackness that had engulfed me.
My eyes fluttered open, and a wave of confusion hit.
Wasn’t I just outside, facing the horrors of an alien jungle?
But no, I was back in my glass capsule, the same place where this bizarre adventure began.
What… What is happening to me?
Was it all a dream?
Was it all a figment of my imagination?
Was it a dream wrapped within a nightmare?
A stinging itch emanated from my neck, and my fingers grazed the tender spot where the alien plant had struck me.
There goes the dream idea.
The memories came flooding back — the enthralling jungle, the two battling beasts, and that treacherous plant.
Through the misted glass of my capsule, the silhouettes of other capsules were once again visible.
The familiar sounds of alien creatures filled the air, an orchestra of howls, roars, screeches, and hisses that sent shivers down my spine.
In the semi-darkness, my eyes roved over the occupants of the neighboring capsules.
There!
Two creatures stood out distinctly.
The first was the hulking beast that had pursued me through the jungle, its powerful physique unmistakable.
Not far from it was the second one, sleek and fast, the one that had confronted the first in what seemed like a territorial display.
They snarled at one another now, paying each other as much attention as they were to me.
Clearly, their dispute hadn’t yet come to an end.
