They both sported injuries from their earlier ordeal.

My gut told me that its intervention hadn’t been to rescue me, but rather, to take me for itself.

A chilling realization that further fueled my desperation to escape.

Driven by panic, I pounded on the glass, my fists slamming against its unyielding surface.

But it was futile.

If these massive creatures, with all their strength, couldn’t break free of their own capsules, what hope didIhave?

“Nine…”

The countdown continued, each number echoing more forebodingly than the last.

My heart raced, thudding loudly in my ears.

All around me, the creatures grew more frantic, their roars and cries growing more desperate with each passing second.

“Eight… Seven… Six…”

I slid to the floor of my capsule, my fingers scraping at its smooth base. Anguish bubbled up inside me.

Why was this happening?

Whoorwhatwas controlling this whole situation?

“Five… Four…”

Tears streamed down my face, blending with the condensation on the glass.

My mind whirred with questions and theories.

Was I part of some grand experiment?

Had aliens given up the whole anal probe thing?

Were these creatures my fellow guinea pigs, each plucked from their own world to participate in this twisted ordeal?

“Three… Two…”

The vibrations began, a familiar tremor that filled the capsule.

My stomach churned, anxiety mounting with the realization that another launch was imminent.

If this cycle continued, how many times would I be thrust into the unpredictable dangers of the alien landscape?

And how many times could I hope to survive?

“One…”

All around, the cacophony from the other creatures grew to a deafening crescendo, a chorus of primal fear and anger.

There was no fighting it, no escape.

I closed my eyes, bracing for what came next.

“Launch.”
