Aurora rushed over, her arms filled with medical supplies. “I can’t believe I found you, and these.”

With gentle hands, she started cleaning my wounds, her fingers trembling slightly.

Every touch was soothing, not just because of the relief it provided to my injuries but because it was her.

Her presence, her care, it meant everything.

We worked in tense silence, punctuated by the distant stomps and rustlings of alien males.

Every time one came too close, we’d freeze, waiting with baited breath.

The tension was palpable.

Each second felt like an eternity.

Finally, she administered a potent drug, one I recognized instantly.

A fast-healing elixir. “I’m not sure if it’s the right one,” she whispered, worry evident in her eyes.

“It is,” I replied, already feeling its effects.

It was like a surge of energy, rejuvenating every cell, mending every wound.

Though the medicine was powerful, I wasn’t quite at full strength yet.

But I was healing, and quickly.

After what seemed like hours, she finished patching me up and gave a soft sigh of relief. “You scared me,” she murmured, tears shimmering in her eyes.

“You and me both,” I replied with a weak chuckle, attempting to lighten the mood.

She reached down, offering her hand. “Come on, big guy, up you get.”

With her help, I managed to get to my feet.

My legs were a bit wobbly, but Aurora was there, supporting me. “We can’t stay here,” she whispered, peering into the dense foliage. “It’s too exposed.”

“You’re right. We need somewhere safe,” I replied, my thoughts racing.

Then it hit me.

I knewexactlywhere to hide. “I know just the spot. It’s quiet, secluded.”

Her eyes lit up with hope. “Lead the way.”

The pain was manageable now.

A dull throbbing in the background, overshadowed by the concern and care in Aurora’s eyes.

She was an enigma, so fierce and delicate at the same time, navigating this alien world with a determination that both amazed and inspired me.

My legs wobbled as she assisted me to the pod.

I wasn’t one to give up easily, and with Aurora by my side, I felt invincible.

“The pod?” Aurora said.

“They’ll never think to look here.”
