“We need to cover it up,” Aurora muttered, looking around the jungle with a sense of urgency.

She plucked a few broad, glossy leaves from a nearby tree.

With swift, efficient movements, she began draping them over the pod.

They clung to the smooth glass walls of the pod, creating a curtain of natural camouflage.

It was a brilliant move, one I hadn’t thought of.

These glass pods, transparent and revealing, had now become our safe haven, hidden from prying eyes.

Aurora then clambered inside the pod, pulling me in with her.

The door slid shut with a soft hiss, sealing us in.

The space inside the pod was limited, confining even, but with Aurora, it felt intimate.

Every inch of our surroundings, from the cold, hard floor to the dim lighting, felt less foreign with her by my side.

The close proximity made my heart race.

I could hear the faint rustle of her clothing, feel the warmth of her breath on my neck.

We lay side by side, and I turned to face her.

Our eyes met, and for a moment, the outside world ceased to exist.

“Are you feeling better?” She whispered, her fingers lightly tracing a line down my arm.

The touch was electrifying.

“A bit,” I admitted. “Your care, and this medicine you brought… it’s working wonders. I can feel my strength returning.”

She smiled with relief. “Good. We need you back on your feet.”

I chuckled. “Always the optimist, aren’t you?”

She shrugged, her lips curving into a mischievous grin. “Someone has to be. With all these alien males running around, it’s hard to keep a positive outlook.”

I pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her waist.

The simple contact was soothing, a balm to my aching soul. “Thank you, Aurora. For everything.”

She snuggled into my embrace, her head resting on my chest. “We’re in this together, remember? You’d do the same for me.”

“I would,” I murmured, planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

And just like that, the world outside the pod ceased to exist.

All that mattered was us, and the bond we were forging.

Time seemed to lose meaning, but with every passing moment, I could feel the medicine working its magic.

The pain was receding, replaced by a growing sense of strength.

My wounds were healing, and soon, I would be back on my feet.

But for now, I was content to stay in the pod, wrapped in Aurora’s embrace.
