“Fuck, you’re so tight, Cupcake.” I close my eyes and absorb the pain. The slight pinch passes as fast as it came, but I feel so stuffed.

“You’re so freaking big. I need a smaller one.”

“You’re not getting anyone else but me, Amore, so your pretty little pussy better get used to this big cock.” My walls clench around him, and I nearly come from his words. He slowly slides almost all the way out before slamming back in. “You’re mine, Patricia Maria Barone. Repeat after me—you’re mine.”

“I’m yours, Giovanni.” I grip his hair, tugging him down to me for a kiss. We’re rough and dirty as our kiss grows out of control. He lifts my legs around his waist and then wraps his arms under me to hold me close as he drills me. I dig my nails into his shoulders, gripping firmly onto him as he drives into me.

“Good girl, now take your orgasm and my seed.” He pumps into me harder and faster in shallow thrusts.

“Yes, give it to me,” I demand, panting as my pussy tingles and then I let go, coming hard, and I scream his name. “Gio, oh God. I’m coming.”

“That’s right. Come for me.” He shoots his own load, filling me until he can’t pump anymore, and then he rolls us both onto our sides. “Fuck, that was incredible.” We’re covered in sweat and our hearts are racing while he peppers kisses over my face and my shoulders.

“Is it terrible that I’m anxious to do that again?”

“No—just give me a minute,” he pants with a chuckle. Soon, we’re back at it, and if this is what being married to him is like, I could go along with this part of our marriage.

Chapter Nine

Gio

Detective Sanchez and I have a problem that I’ll soon rectify, so I won’t worry about him. Soon, I’ll make sure he’s off the force and working in the correctional facilities in Cook County as an inmate, earning his keep.

He thinks he’s keeping his nose clean, but the trail isn’t as off the beaten path as Sanchez hoped. What he doesn’t understand is that I’m a tech whiz and also a financial genius, so I’m sure as fuck not going to let his crimes go away.

I follow the money like a bloodhound, and it’s clear Sanchez isn’t the only cop on the take for the Moreno Family. They’ll all go down. However, that’s not my only concern. When I woke up this morning, my mind went straight to the Russians and Morozov, who needed a bullet to the dome for trying to force my woman to marry him.

I enter Matteo’s office with a cup of coffee, ready to discuss matters so that I can take my wife to our home. It’s not as nice as this, but it’s ours where I can have her completely away from other distractions. “Good morning, Gio. Sleep well?”

“No, but I found a much better use of my time.” I smile and sit in front of his desk as he sips his own cup of coffee.

He smirks above his mug. “I’m sure your pursuits were worth it.” Setting it down he says, “So, about Moreno. We’ve already seen movement from his men last night. Word is that he wants to find his daughter, but no word on the Russian. He doesn’t seem interested in the fact that you took his bride.”

I narrow my eyes, staring my brother-in-law down, trying to read him to see if there’s more he’s hiding, but he’s not the easiest to gauge. “Bullshit. The prick is probably just biding his time. I have a bullet with his name on it.”

His face hardens. “No, you don’t. I hate to tell you this, but if he doesn’t want anything to do with your wife and he didn’t lay a hand on Patricia, you’re going to have to let it go.”

“What?”

“A man wanting to marry your wife before she was yours isn’t a surprise, Gio. We’ve all been there. Hell, there were men coming here to meet your sister, as you remember, and I sent them packing with a warning that she was off-limits. I didn’t kill them because they thought they might have a chance.”

“Yes, but they weren’t going to force her.”

“Like I said, we’ll talk to the Russian. We don’t need another war where our families could get hurt. Peace is better.”

“Since when did you get soft?” I slam my hand on his desk.

“Calm the fuck down. I’m not fucking soft, Gio. It’s about protecting our future, including the ones that could be growing in our wives.” I sit back down and think about it. About Patricia carrying my baby and something happening to her. The thought fucks with my head right away, and I can see Matteo does have a point, but that doesn’t mean we forget about all these bastards.

It takes a great deal of effort to swallow my pride and not lose it. I process what he’s saying and nod. “Fine, but if there are any signs to the contrary…”

“I’ll put a bullet in him myself.” His assurance is great, but that pleasure would belong to me.

I shake my head and stare into my brother-in-law’s eyes and warn him. “No, that would be my honor.”

He grins with the sinister promise that I’ll get my chance should it come to that. Sitting back, we both take a sip of our coffee. He sets his down and says, “So, I’ve made the wedding announcement in the papers, both digital and physical.”

I understand his meaning. That will send word to everyone that we’re not playing when it comes to the war. We’ll finish what Moreno started, but what they won’t understand is that this is much more than a battle for life or death. Patricia’s mine, and it has nothing to do with Moreno. It would be better if she had no Moreno DNA in her, but we don’t choose who our parents are. Luckily, I was born into a great family, not pond scum.
