“Gianney, I know your last name. Get to the point.” I waved my hand in the air.

“Greco is one of the founding families in the alliance. Your birth father is Gennaro, and your sister is Viviana, an ex-girlfriend of Savio's.”

My stomach twisted in knots. I stumbled back, not believing any of his words.

“Gianney, I think you are confused.”

“No, I’m your brother, my father and I didn’t get along. He basically disowned me, and the public had no clue about me. I learned about their deaths, and Cono has helped me track down the real killers.”

“I have to go.” I started to jog away.

He grasped me by my hand. “Nyla! Wait.”

I snatched away. “No! Leave me alone.”

“He’s trying to kill you and wipe our family out; you need to work with us!” Gianney yelled.

I hopped back in the car, and his gunman backed up, letting us drive away.

My body convulsed, tears streaming down my cheek.

“Nyla, breathe, please,” Cassandra begged.

“I need to get home.”

“Carter, are you good to drive?” Cassandra evaluated.

“I will be fine. Keep her relaxed, we're going to the hospital.”

“No!” I screamed.

“Nyla, you're shaking. You need to see a doctor,” Cassandra pleaded.

I wanted to ignore them both. “Take me home, I will be fine.”

“We can have the family doctor come and check her out,” Carter said, ending his phone call.

“Who were you talking to just now?” If Vincenzo found out Gianney and I met up, hell on earth would start.

“Mr. Calabresi said to bring you straight home.”

“Where is he?”

“At the office.”

“Probably with his bimbo,” I mumbled under my breath.

“Nyla, you can't believe her after everything.”

“Cassandra, not now.”

Sighing, she released my hand. “Having an attitude with me won't help your situation,” Cassandra remarked.

The hurt in her voice made me think twice before I pushed her away. “Cass, I’m sorry.”

She stared at me, then nodded.

Arriving back home, I tossed my head on the pillow, looking at old pictures in my photo album I got from my old apartment. Cassandra decided to go back home, and Carter sent her with another escort so he could wait for Vincenzo to get there and talk about the details of my meeting.
