The loud beeping of the alarm distracted me, and I dropped the pictures in the box, then walked out of the game room. After climbing the stairs, I heard low voices, and I paused at the top of the stairs, against the wall.

“Angelina did what?” Vincenzo questioned.

“She ambushed Nyla at the restaurant. She thought it was you, and somehow, we got word from your assistant that she thought you wanted to meet her,” Carter went on.

I peeked my head out to watch.

“Find Angelina and bring her to the cabin.”

“She said she’s pregnant,” Carter responded.

“Does Nyla know?”

“She does.”

“How pissed is she?”

“There’s more.”

He pinched his brows. “Fuck.”

“Gianney had his men at her friend's place.”

To avoid being seen by either of them, I hid behind the wall.

“How the fuck did he get close to her again? I’m paying top of the line for security, Carter.”

“I agree, and I will rectify the issue,” Carter emphasized.

“What did he tell her?”

“She hasn’t said a word since we got back.”

“All right. Get my brothers on the line and find out what Cassandra knows and Angelina.”

As I stepped into the room, they stopped and stared. I threw a hand between them. “Don’t let me get in your way.”

“Nyla.” Vincenzo stalked toward me.

“Vincenzo, did you know Angelina is claiming to be pregnant by you?”

He sighed. “Carter just told me.”

“Congrats.”

He frowned. “She's not pregnant—at least, not by me.” He walked up to me.

“Stay there.”

“I can't touch you now?”

“Distance is better, I can’t think straight with you this close.”

He smirked and lifted my chin. “I’m distracting you.”

“Vincenzo, right now the smirk is not helping you.”

“Gianney and Angelina are two people not in this room right now.”
