“Is there anything I need to know about before we get home?”

“Home?”

“Huh?”

“You said once we get home. Are you taking me to your house or the condo?” she pressed, raking her eyes over me.

“Answer my question first.”

“What question?”

“Anything else I need to know you’re keeping from me?”

“Are we both being honest?”

“Nyla.” I glowered, removing my jacket and unbuckling my seatbelt.

She squinted at me confused when I undid her seatbelt, but then I pulled her into my lap.

“Vincenzo!” she shrieked.

Smacking her on the butt gently, she cried out, and I rubbed the sting away. Thanks to the tinted windows in my car, nobody could see her or hear her. Nyla licked her lips as she rubbed my shaft, forcing me to close my eyes and count to five before we fucked in the car. We didn't consummate the night of the wedding because I wasn't sure if I wanted to proceed with faking a marriage. Slowly, Nyla leaned forward staring at my lips.

I firmly held both sides of her face, stopping her movement. “Are you sure?”

Nodding her head.

“No, I need to hear the words, baby.”

The moment I called her baby, she stiffened. As she raked her fingernails along my thigh, her tongue brushed across my bottom lip.

Do I want to fall victim to her trap? Here I am, with the woman that stole money from me, on my lap, with a ring on her finger that I bought.

Then again, all of my brothers fell in love unconventionally.

Nyla cooed, “Yes, I’m sure.”

I had to admit that our kissing was no longer just comfort; it became passionate and intense. There was a need to explore her and make her mine.

“Shit!”

After jumping apart at the knock on the driver's-side window, I helped her scramble back into her seat. She pulled her dress down. I put the gun away after rolling the window down and seeing it was Carter.

“Sir, I want to make sure everything is fine,” Carter wondered, looking from Nyla to me.

“We are headed to my house. Have the cars delivered to me. I’m staying in for the rest of the night.”

I checked the time on the radio. It was going on 2 AM. I knew she was pretty tired, and we wanted her to come with us to meet with her uncle and the lawyers in the morning.

“Yes, Sir.”

I slipped the keys from my pants pocket and passed them to Carter. Besides my brothers and my friends, he was the only person whom I trusted to drive my personal vehicles.

I locked the front door, shut it behind us, and set the alarm. Nyla stood off to the side, watching my next movements. The last thing I wanted was for her to feel like she was being treated like Angelina, or like a one-night stand.

“Same as the condo, you can have the guest room upstairs where you got dressed.”

“We’re sleeping in separate beds?”
