“You will be on this one. I want to make sure this is done right. I don’t care who you kill in the process, get it done.” He said and I glanced at Konstantin who smiled.
“I’ll give you some of my men too. They are already aware of the plan.” He said and I nodded.
Fuck.
“What about the one the gym man? My sources tell me he is in the hospital still. Easy picking to use as leverage just in case.” My father said and Egor nodded.
“Yes. Let’s get him picked up this evening too.” They continued to talk about the plans once Katerina was gone as my mind whirled.
I had to get Leo out. I know Liam had put people on him, but that wouldn’t stop Egor and my father from killing every staff member if they had to in that hospital.
“If you will excuse me, I am going to get a head start on planning this takedown. I need to go scope out the warehouse.” I said and my father waved his dismissal as Egor completely ignored me.
Konstantin however, watching me with shrewd eyes that made me uncomfortable.
“Good luck, Alexsei.” He said cryptically and I nodded once before I left.
I needed to get to Leo now.
I slipped into Leo’s room, wincing when I saw the state he was in.
“Damn. You have looked better.” I said and his eyes swung to me with a wary smile.
“I’ve felt better but I’ve also been worse. Fighting gives you a tough skin.” He said with a grin.
“Why are you here? You shouldn’t be here. Even Rina is laying low and being careful not to come here right now.” He said and I saw the flicker of worry in his eyes.
“She took down Vinnie and his men. The entire crew is gone and with it, your debt.” I said and he nodded warily.
“Liam told me this morning. Sorry, I wasn’t there for it.” He said and I sighed wistfully.
“Me too. I’ve seen her in the middle of it and she is damn sexy. Lethal but sexy. Ivan trained her well.” I mused before I glanced at the door as someone rushed past.
“I’m not here on goodwill. I have to get you out. Egor and my father are planning on coming and using you as leverage. We need to move you now.” I said as the door opened.
I reached for my gun, pausing when I saw Benjamin Madden enter.
“Madden,” I said with a nod, and he looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
“My understanding is you are supposed to be the enemy right now, not having small talk in Leo’s room.” He said as Alfie followed him.
“I’m here to move him. Egor and Vadim are going to come for him today.” I said and they switched from amused to businessmen in an instant.
“Let’s go.” He said and I considered where we needed to take him.
“Where can we take him that no one will suspect?” I asked and they looked at each other silently before they looked at Leo with a grin.
“We have a place. Let’s go.” They motioned for me to move out of the way.
“You should go before anyone sees you,” Benjamin said and I shook my head.
“No. I need to make sure he is safe.” I said sternly and they narrowed their eyes.
They were right to be suspicious. I was playing both sides right now.
“He is part of my family now too,” I said softly and they nodded, understanding.
“Caleb’s Church,” Benjamin said and I laughed.
