“It’s supposed to be the man who says that to the woman, isn’t that how it goes in all the romance stories?” He said as he stroked my arm with his fingers.
“Hmm. Well, just because I am willing to submit to you all behind closed doors doesn’t change who I am and, in this world, I am the boss.” I said, standing and kissing the top of his head like they always did to me.
“And I am the one who will spill blood for those I love,” I added and then froze when they all went silent, staring at me.
“What?” I asked and Leo took my hand, tugging me into his lap.
“You said for those you love. Do you love us, Katerina? Do you love me?” He whispered.
Fuck. I hadn’t even realized I said it but now that I had, I knew it was true.
“Yes. I think I do. I think I have fallen in love with you.” I whispered, cupping his face and kissing him softly before turning to Alexsei and Riley who were watching with interest.
“All of you,” I added and they both smiled, coming over to kiss me.
“I love you too.” They both whispered as Alexsei chuckled.
“And what about Hamish? Does he fall into this love category as well?” He said with a grin and I rolled my eyes, looking out the window at the man in question who was on the phone still, deep in conversation.
The sun beat down on his bare chest, highlighting those vicious scars that had caught my breath when I saw them the first time.
The man was annoying as hell and yet I felt safe around him, I even trusted him, and I wouldn’t admit it to his face, but I desperately wanted to shut him up by giving in and fucking him.
I just refused to let him win and hear the smugness in his voice for the rest of my life.
“Maybe,” I said softly, knowing it was inevitable that he was going to work his way inside my heart too.
His eyes met mine through the glass and he slowly smiled, a sultry, sexy smile that gave me butterflies before he winked and blew me a kiss.
Smug asshole.
“Sure. Whatever you say, Rina.” Leo said with a chuckle, his arms still around my waist.
He leaned his head against my chest, and I smiled.
Leo was such a contrast. His body was a lethal weapon and yet he was soft, gentle, and so spiritual. And his life was threatened by a man I didn’t respect.
I would fix this, I would keep him safe, just like he did for me.

Iwas getting ready for bed when Leo slipped inside my room, looking unsure of himself.
“Everything alright?” I asked and he nodded.
“Hamish and Alexsei found some shooting game and Riley is talking to Mikhail and Theo about the footage from your place. I thought I would join you if that is alright?” He asked and I nodded.
They had all fallen into a sort of rotation, each of them sleeping with me on a different night in an unspoken agreement so it wasn’t like he needed to ask for permission.
“What else is on your mind, Leo?” I asked, seeing the hesitation on his face.
“I want to be with you, Rina. Together.” He added and I realized what he meant.
We still hadn’t had sex yet and I was suddenly nervous, even though he could play my body like an instrument, sex was different, and I didn’t know what to expect from him.
“I’d like that too, Leo,” I said, hating how awkward this was. He smiled, walking toward me and that was when I noticed what he had in his hand.
