If she really is his daughter, it would mean she’s my half-sister.

"The only way to be sure is to get a DNA test," I suggest.

"Agreed," Rosa nods, then hesitates before continuing. "I think we should, but the man who told me about you. He said you’d always been hard to track down, going from one place to the next. It makes sense, given Axel said you were a nomad.”

I nod, confirming I was.

She continues, “There's more. We have another sister. Her name is Marisole."

A sister.

I shouldn’t be surprised.

My father got around, so I’m sure he has plenty of children with various people.

My gaze drifts over to Axel, “Is that why you’re here, to find out if I’m related to your wife?”

Axel nods, “Yeah. I agree with her you know, there are too many similarities. If you’re not her brother, she and I will go back to the drawing board.”

Suddenly, screaming voices call my attention.

Narrowing my eyes, I head for the door, heading out to the main area.

Sure as shit, Oakleigh and Hammer are getting back into it.

“Hammer, go take a fuckin’ walk!” Amara’s at her wits end.

Hammer shakes his head in disbelief and leaves, slamming the door on his way out.

Fuck, this is a mess, but I know we’re going to get through it.

My only hope is that Hammer will calm down and realize I’m not his enemy.

In all seriousness, he should be grateful a man like me is with his daughter.

I’m the kind of man who would kill for her without even thinking about it.

Oakleigh

Over the last week, it’s been tense as fuck here.

Sure, the prospects arriving was something we were all looking forward to, but my father surprising me wasn’t.

Since he’s been here, I can’t help but feel an intense weight crushing me down.

I take a deep breath, inhaling the scent of gas and oil that lingers in the garage.

It’s the only place where I’ve been able to get away from everyone.

Oddly enough, my father doesn’t follow me in here.

A familiar voice greets me. “Hey, Oakleigh,”

I turn to my left, spotting Rosa, coming into the garage from the clubhouse.

Razor told me the other day she came here because she thought he could be her long lost half-brother.
