"Also, there are cameras in the boutique, down the back hall, and in your office. So, we should be able to see everything going on here anytime you want. I'll help you set up the app on your phone."

She giggled. "Wow."

He took her hand in his. "But our Christmas Eve plans have changed. We're going to celebrate at the hospital and welcome my new niece or nephew into the world."

Shianne gasped. "Oh, Maya's in labor?"

"Yep." His smile. Wow, was there anything more beautiful?

"Oh, okay, wait a minute." She ran out to the boutique and under the front counter she pulled out a wrapped box. "I got the baby a gift, just in case."

"Now I know you're the perfect woman. You even thought of someone not born yet."

She chuckled as the butterflies fluttered at his praise. "Well, it's not like we didn't know he or she was coming."

He kissed her lips, so gently. His hands framed her face, and he kissed her longer. "I love how your lips feel on mine."

A smile grew across her face. "I love how your lips feel on mine."

A couple more short kisses: then he stepped away. "Ready?"

"Yes."

He held her hand as they neared the door. Ever the gentleman, he opened the door for her and then locked it once they'd stepped out.

"Wow, what a Christmas this is. I'll not forget it ever." She giggled.

"Good. I'm guessing we won't be allowed to since Maya is having a baby on Christmas Eve.”

"True."

Myles chuckled as he drove them to the hospital. "Three weeks ago, she was so frustrated that Everleigh had Leland and she showed no signs of having her baby."

"I remember her trying to be supportive of Henry and Everleigh but feeling frustrated." She watched Myles smile. "Remind me again why they named him Leland?"

"Leland” is Roxanne's father's name. Dawson is Hawk's father's name. Leland Dawson Delaney."

"Aww, how special that is."

Myles yawned. He glanced at his watch once more. It was now nine o'clock and Maya was still in the deep throws of labor. They'd spent time with her and Jasiah until her labor hit active status. Now, he sat in the family area with Shianne and his parents.

Shianne's head rested on his shoulder, her soft breathing in his ear. His mom sat at a forty-five angle to him on the sofa, his dad, next to her, leaning back, resting his head on the back of the sofa. His parents’ hands were clasped together. He smiled as he saw them holding hands. That's how he and Maya were raised. His parents were badass special operatives. They loved as hard as they worked.

His mom smiled at him. "I love you, Myles." She whispered.

"I love you too, Mom."

His mom's eyes slid to Shianne. A soft smile appeared on her face and her eyes locked on his once again. "She's beautiful."

His heartbeat increased. "I think so too."

"Are you happy?"

He grinned. "I am."

"Good."
