Joel smoothed his hands down my spine. “It’s still rainy,” he said quietly. “It might be a good time for a movie.”

“That would be nice. But if you guys want to do your own thing, that’s okay. I’ll be fine.”

Cade crawled over and pulled me to him. “We can feel you’re not fine, princess, and it’s okay to not be fine. You’re not alone anymore. You don’t have to hold everything in. We share it. Lift the burden together. It’s one of the best things about having a pack.”

Our bond shimmered with the truth of his statement.

“And I, for one, haven’t had nearly enough time with my Omega yet. I don’t think I will for a while. So whatever we’re doing, we’re doing as a family. Right?”

Affirmative answers all around.

I leaned against him, all the tension flowing out of me. “Thank you.”

“Do you like popcorn?” Vaughn asked.

“Only if it’s white cheddar.”

He nodded. “I can make that happen.”

I looked at Rowan. “Can I wear one of your hoodies? You’re the biggest, so it’ll be like a blanket.”

“Of course you can.” His smile crinkled his eyes at the corners, and I loved that. “I’ll grab one.”

Joel helped me to my feet, but he didn’t let me go. Just as well, I felt unsteady on my feet. With Rowan’s hoodie swallowing me whole, I curled up next to him on the couch. But I didn’t stay there, moving from one to the other when my Omega needed them.

They held me until we were all falling asleep, the sun long set. Even after, they didn’t let me go.

CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

________

ISOLDE

Ihadn’t bothered to really dress. If I were going to still be in the wedding, my hair and makeup would be done by the people Ellie hired, and if I weren’t, I probably wouldn’t be getting out of my sweats.

My hands were fully pulled inside the long sleeves of my t-shirt, a pure sign of nerves, and Hawk’s hand rested on my knee as we pulled up to the estate.

“Do you want us to come with you?” Cade asked.

“Not to talk to her, but please don’t leave.”

“We won’t,” he promised.

When I picked up my phone this morning—the guys had brought it back with them yesterday—it was a mess of frantic texts from every person I knew. Ellie, begging to talk to me andpromising it was okay. My parents. Rin and Ocean, having found out through the grapevine.

I read them, but barely absorbed them.

Hawk slid out and held the door for me. The storm left nothing but perfect weather behind. It would be a beautiful day. For an outdoor wedding, you couldn’t ask for anything better.

That would be nice.

The guys were behind me, following me inside, but the rest of it I needed to do alone.

I didn’t wait for Geoffrey to open the door. I knew the codes, and I let myself inside, heading straight for the suite where Ellie and Warren were staying.

He answered my soft knock with a grim expression. “Hey, Iz.”

“Hi.”
