The music changed, and everyone turned to look. Ellie came down the aisle on Dad’s arm, smiling so wide it had to hurt. She nearly walked too quickly in order to get to Warren, who wiped his eyes when he saw her.

I was right. All of us were teary, and there was no way to avoid it. Tears streamed down Dad’s face as he gave Ellie away, which triggered my own happy tears.

The ceremony was simple and beautiful. They exchanged rings, vows, and a million secret smiles before they were pronounced man and wife to cheering and applause.

Hawk and I followed them out to the music, along with the rest of the bridal party, and I hugged Ellie. “You did it.”

“I can’t believe it.”

“You’d better,” I said. “After all this.”

Ellie laughed. “Fair point. Let’s get all the pictures done so we can party. And I want your whole pack in the family pictures, Iz. Not just Hawk.”

“Really?”

“Wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Hawk hugged me close. “I guess we do need some pictures thataren’tnaughty too.”

“You’re insatiable.”

“Janet’s already on board with the group photoshoot, baby girl. It’s happening.”

I blushed, but said nothing, because I wanted the pictures. To feel that beautiful with all five of them in one room. “Let’s start with the wedding photos and go from there.”

Hawk kissed my hand again. “You already know, Isolde. We’ll start anything with you.”

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

________

VAUGHN

Isolde spun on the dance floor with Ellie and the other bridesmaids, laughing. The difference between the woman in front of us and the Omega who came down the escalator in the airport couldn’t be overstated. Where she’d been timid and fearful before, and rightfully so, now she was vibrant and full of life.

Before her I’d heard stories about people who met their Omega and had their lives changed as quickly as this, but you could never understand the depth and totality of it without experiencing it firsthand.

I thought we were happy before, and we were, but it was nothing compared to what I felt now.

Cade stepped up beside me and nudged my arm. “Back.”

“You got it?”

“Yup.”

“She didn’t notice you were gone.”

He smirked. “Good.”

Surprises were going to be much harder now that we were bonded. So covering the surprises with big emotions, like the wedding, was a good idea.

Across the tent, I saw Isolde’s stepfather approaching our table with the others. I nodded to Cade. “Let’s go.”

It wasn’t far, and we approached just in time to hear him start speaking. “Thank you for listening before, and for what you’ve done for her. Isolde hasn’t been like this in… a very long time.”

Rowan nodded, looking past him at our Omega. “It’s our pleasure, sir. We love your daughter very much.”

“My wife and I are looking forward to getting to know you better. Guess it shouldn’t be too hard being just up the cliff.”
