Such a fucking guy, this one.

“Ouch,” he said, but I didn’t hurt him. “Second,” he continued unabashedly. “Rena, you don't need a man. You damn sure don't need one to swoop in and save you from anything. The fact is, I've been trying to find what we had my whole life. I have been looking for that same connection, but really, I have been looking for you.”

“For me?”

“Yes, you. Since I was sixteen. It has always only ever been you.”

I swallowed hard and dropped my gaze to his chest. What was a girl supposed to do with that kind of confession? Did we even know each other anymore?

“Let’s play two truths and a lie,” I blurted, and Jeremy’s head cocked to the side like he wasn’t sure he heard me.

“You want to play two truths and a lie? What even is that?”

“It’s easy. You just tell me two truths and a lie, and I have to guess the lie. And yes. I want to play right now. I want to see if we know each other anymore,” I said seriously.

“Wait. What are the stakes?”

“The stakes are, if we can get through two rounds without losing, I will date you.”

“You will date me if I win this game?”

“If we both win this game,” I corrected him.

“Fine. I go first,” he replied, crossing his arms and looking serious.

“Fine.”

Damn, he was cute. Jeremy furrowed his brows as he thought of his two truths and his lie, then I got nervous. Was I really going to throw away my chance of being with this man on my ability to guess things about him after being apart for sixteen years?

Fuck. I guess so.

“I have a saltwater tank with three dogfish at my office, one is named Fido. I encourage my employees to acknowledge good things coworkers did for each other in a standing weekly call. And I bet heavily on college sports.”

“You do not bet on college sports!” I blurted out, remembering how much Jeremy loathed gambling and had always said it ruined the sport.

“Good, Rena. Now you.”

“Let’s see. I play piano for church on some Sundays. I’ve had two serious boyfriends since you. And I have a cat named Cleo.”

I was tricking him with this one. It wasn’t fair, but it would get me off the hook and stop this insanity before someone got hurt. Mainly me. But what else was I supposed to do? I couldn't even look at him without my body heating and my pussy getting wet. The man had my hormones working double time. It was like my ovaries were going to explode.

“You’re cheating, Miss Grimaldi, and I think a punishment is in order,” he said, stepping into my space.

I gasped the second I felt his fingers at the hem of the jersey I was wearing. My breath started coming in short spurts, and my knees knocked as he drew lazy circles on my skin, getting closer and closer to my needy sex.

“H-how am I cheating?” I barely got the words out as his thumb swept over my damp curls.

“You have a cat. But his name is Teddy. He’s your screensaver on your phone and he has a license. The other two are just common sense. I couldn’t have expected you to be celibate for sixteen years, and your grandparents always took you to church.”

Fuck. He really was paying attention.

“Your turn,” I said, but he shook his head, his thick digits parting my lips.

“No. You cheated, therefore, you concede I won. No more games, Rena. I want you. Say it. Say you’re mine,” he growled, tugging my lower lip between his teeth as he finger fucked me against the counter.

Of course, that session soon grew more desperate as he tugged the jersey over my head, and dropped his pants after grabbing a condom from the pocket. Then Jeremy picked me up and sat my naked ass on the counter, spreading my legs before ramming into me.

“Too rough?” he asked, pausing, but I shook my head, pulling him closer and slamming my mouth to his.
