Even still, he doesn’t let go of my throat. He pounds me just as I asked, hard and rough. The moment he comes inside me, he does it with his eyes closed, head thrown back. My vision is blurred, black and white dots coloring my view, and just as my head lolls to the side he lets go of me.

I gasp and cough, trying my best to choke in some air. And once I’m breathing normally again he gets off the bed. I wrap my robe around me once more and get off the bed as well, walking to the bathroom with cum between my thighs to finish getting ready. This time he doesn’t follow, he just waits for me in the living room.

An hour later, we’re sitting at the bar we sometimes frequent on a Sunday night, all of my friends staring at Nik and me like we’ve grown three extra heads. There’s barely anyone here, so it’s quiet enough to drop the news on them, but I think they’re already stunned at our coupled arrival. That and the fact that Nik is holding my hand. The one person who looks giddy is Annabella. Everyone else is confused.

Right before anyone can open their mouths to ask questions, Dmitri and Ilya walk into the bar and sit at the table where Annie is seated. It’s awkward for everyone, including Annie, who looks uncomfortable with Dmitri. His pissed expression seems aimed at Ilya and Annie whispering amongst themselves with smiles on their faces. Nik and I slide into the booth after them, which is circular in the shape of a U and very spacious. It can fit about ten people, literally perfect for us. Apparently this is it though and there’s no one else coming.

“What is happening, Cam?” Calypso asks, her blue eyes going from Nik to me at a fast speed. “Why are they here?”

She’s referring to all the Russian men at our table, and I don’t miss the flash of fear in her eyes. I bet it is confusing, especially because Annabella is the only one who knew of my involvement with them. She’s known all along.

Ever since we were teenagers.

Speaking of Annie, I don’t miss the way Dmitri narrows his eyes at Ilya and her as they sit next to each other, shoulders touching, arms brushing, close enough to have no gaps between each other. He seems jealous, and a smirk twitches at my lips. Ilya cups her face as they talk and she smiles.

When her gaze lands on my face, her own heats, her ears turning red. I guess she feels betrayed at my amusement, yet I can’t help myself. I can tell she wants Ilya, but it seems Dmitri is part of that package and I don’t think there’s a choice there. She clearly doesn’t want the package deal; two for one isn’t working out. I don’t see why. I mean, I’d be jumping at the chance. They’re both hot as hell.

Maybe Dmitri is the one who doesn’t want her. Maybe he’s not interested in women. He seems to only have eyes for Ilya, which seems to piss her off even more. Ilya is thriving on the attention from them both. No one seems to notice except for me, as everyone else’s eyes are on Nik and me, and Nik’s are on my friends.

I take a deep breath and brace myself. “Nik, this is Calypso.” I gesture toward her. “Calypso, this is Nik, my husband.”

At that word Nik grabs my hand and squeezes it as hard as my heart does in my chest. I’ll never get used to saying it, but I love that he is my husband.

Calypso’s eyes widen, and when I glance around, everyone is stunned except for Annie. Instead, she claps her hands and jumps up and down in her seat. The rest of my friends—Calypso, Giulia, and Vivianna—look at her like she’s insane. I don’t. I smile at her and lean against Nik.

“What the fuck do you mean, Camilla?” Viv asks me, her gray eyes narrowing into slits. Her blonde hair and blue highlights catch the light, making it look almost platinum. “Sei pazza!”You are crazy.

Maybe I am.

I’m crazy forhim.

My obsessive, possessive, loving, caring man.

“Forse.”Maybe. I shrug, “SÌ.”Yes.

“Why would you do that?” Giulia asks me. “What do you want with her?” Her little pixie features harden, her brown eyes flash with anger, and her thinner upper lip curls into a cute little snarl. I can’t even take her seriously when she looks like this.

“I love her,” Nik growls, stunning everyone into silence.

I put my hand on his arm, rubbing it with my thumb. “He got me out of my marriage to Leo, Gigi,” I reply softly, and a silence descends over the table. “We love each other.”

Annabella finally speaks, “Well, they have since high school. Give them a break. Nikki over here is persistent as fuck.”

My hackles rise. Nikki? When did she learn my nickname for him? “Careful, Annie. Just because we’re best friends doesn’t mean I won’t gouge your eyes out.” Her eyes widen and then she grins. “OnlyIcan give him a nickname.”

Everyone laughs at my response, including a traitorous Nik who obviously has a death wish. Does he forget we live together? Sleep together? I could easily kill him. He’s too trusting for his own good.

I lean in and whisper in his ear low enough for no one to hear, “Careful,Nikki, or I’ll cut you.”

He looks at me and smiles, “Maybe I want you to.”

“You realize her dad is going to kill you, right?” Gigi asks Nik, her eyes still hard and cold.

“We’re here for him,” Ilya says stiffly, and his body language tells me he means it. “And we will protect him.”

I don’t want to tell them there’s no protecting him from my father, but Nik grabs my hand and squeezes once in acknowledgement. He seems to be aware of it, yet not scared.

“I’ll do anything for you, Milla.”
