He raises an eyebrow at me. „You mean your grades? It won’t, I can promise you that. And I promise you, I won’t do anything to endanger your scholarship or your position as my TA, no matter how hard this will be.”
He lets out a heavy sigh, and lowers his gaze, as a shadow of sorrow is cast over his handsome features.
„Thank you,” I say. „Sir.”
Damn, why does this keep happening? The word just slips out without me meaning to.
He throws me a warning look. „It’s best if you go now. I don’t have any assignments for you to work on for now and…we’ll have to speak again next week.”
He’s about to turn around and open the door for me to leave, and for some reason, that motion springs me into action. I leap forward, my hand landing on his just as his fingers close around the doorknob.
