Ryan is on my other side, sandwiching me between my best friends and handing us each a whiskey shot.

“Yeah. He’s been at Naomi’s house most nights since I agreed to open the marriage.” I down the shot in one gulp before slumping against Kat’s chest, her teal hair hanging loose and tickling my neck. “I don’t think I can do this anymore.”

I have lost so much weight over the last months that the liquor is going straight to my head.

“You have lovely pillows. Have I ever told you that?”

Ryan snorts. “As much as I agree that Pickle’s tits are delightful, no, we are not doing this. He wants to open the marriage, so you are going to go out there and get so much dick that he won’t be able to satisfy you anymore.”

Kat jerks away from me, throwing a pillow at Ryan’s head. “Will you stop calling me ‘Pickle’? It’s the worst nickname ever!”

She pulls me back against her chest as Ryan continues to rant.

“You know what? Fuck this. Where is your phone?” She lets out an annoyed huff.

She grabs my phone from the coffee table and taps on the screen for several moments. Her chocolate eyes hold a mischievous sparkle before she turns my phone around. On the screen is a Tinder profile with my name and picture.

“Oh, shit,” Kat gasps. “You really think she’s ready for this?”

“What? No! I can’t do this!” I groan, realizing I’m still snuggled up against Kat’s breasts.

I sit up quickly when I see Ryan is swiping right and occasionally left.

“What are you doing, Ry?!” I shout at her.

“Oh, he’s cute. Don’t you think, Pickle?” Ryan turns my phone to Kat, avoiding my reach to sass her way through my sex life. “Oh, no.Herehe is. This is the one! Look at that silver fox! And he’s a transplant from Ireland! Bitch, you are going to swoon over that accent!”

I jump up and swipe my phone from her to make it stop. She laughs at me before giving me a hug.

“I love you both, but I can’t do this.” I motion to my phone just as it dings with a notification.

You have a new match!

I look between the two of them before unlocking my phone. I swiped right on the silver fox when I snatched my phone from Ryan, and he matched with me. Already?

Another notification comes through, which I promptly ignore as I say goodnight to my friends and usher them out the door before they can come up with any other “helpful” ideas.

I’m sitting on the couch with a glass of wine about an hour later when another notification comes through.

Two new messages.

I have to admit, from the brief glance I got of his photo when I nearly tackled Ryan to get my phone back, the man is sexy. It isn’t just that he has the silver fox thing going for him. His eyes are a delicious amber color that reminds me of leaves changing in the fall.

Okay, fine. I stared at his photo for about thirty minutes after my girls left.

I could get lost in those eyes. At forty-one, he’s fourteen years my senior. Should I really be as intrigued by this beautiful specimen of a man as I am? Curiosity gets the better of me, and instead of just deleting the app, I want to see what that beautiful man has to say. With trembling hands, I tap on the notification to open the messages.

Connor:

Howya, a mhuirnín!

I must admit, when my nephew suggested I download this app, I did not expect to come across someone as breathtakingly beautiful as you.

My heart skips a beat. I expected something forward and someone just looking for a hookup. I didn’t expect such a sweet message.

I take a deep breath to steady myself in my resolve before tapping out a message on the screen.
