“You already do. What’s left that youhaven’tdone?”

“I’ll think up something new.”

“Mm.” Chaz smiled. “I do like the sound of that. You’ve always had a filthy imagination.”

“You bring out mynaughtiness,baby.”

“Ditto.”

“So, anyway,” Drake said. “You should get up and about, my surprise will be arriving soon.”

“How do you know I’m not already up?”

Drake laughed softly. “I’ve been waking up next to you for years. I know yourI just woke upvoice.”

“Yeah, well.” Chaz chuckled. “I was in no hurry to wake up. I was having some pretty scorching dreams.”

“Oh, yeah? About me?”

Chaz smirked. “Mostly.”

“Hm. I guess I’ll take that as a win.” His smile drifted through the call and enveloped Chaz’s heart, causing a tender ache. “I need to get to work, but I’ll call you this evening and you can tell me how you liked your Valentine’s surprise. Okay?”

“Okay.” Chaz wilted into the pillows. “As much as I know I will love it… nothing can replace you being here in person.”

“Well, I hope not,” Drake murmured with a smile. “But hopefully my surprise will be… the next best thing.”

“Yeah,” Chaz whispered.

“Have a great day, baby,” Drake said softly. “I’ll be home soon. I love you like crazy.”

“Your love makes me crazy,” Chaz replied quietly. “In all the right ways.”

“You were crazy when I met you.”

Chaz chuckled low. “True. But you made me even crazier.”

“I’ll accept that.”

“Come home as soon as you can,” Chaz murmured with a slight strain in his voice. “I already miss you like mad. I love you.”

“I miss you, too. I’ll see you soon. I love you, my Valentine.”

Chaz lay still for a few minutes after the call ended, staring blankly at the ceiling, the empty bed beside him filling him with loneliness. This was hardly the first time Drake had gone out of town on business. Normally, Chaz was fine. He always missed Drake when he was gone, but with him away on Valentine’s Day heightened the lonely feeling. This wastheirday. Of course, it wasn’t Drake’s fault he couldn’t be there.

“Ireallywant to kick your boss in the balls,” he mumbled and crawled out of bed, a log of morning wood between his legs.

After a long shower and someself-care, Chaz fixed himself a light breakfast, then took his coffee into the living room. He left the heavy drapes closed, blocking out the morning light, and lit the fireplace, and turned the lights down low. Chaz turned on some romantic instrumental music and sat on the sofa. He closed his eyes and played out the day in his mind as he’d planned itbeforehe knew Drake wouldn’t be there.

So, you’ll celebrate one day late, what’s the big deal?

Chaz sighed and let the soft music envelope his mind and body as he imagined him and Drake drinking champagne, dancing, fucking… then making slow love. His member revived, stretching inside his shorts. Chaz groaned; this was going to be a long, hardday.

Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rang.

Chaz sat forward, a twinge of excitement tickling his belly button; his husband’s Valentine surprise? He left the living room and headed for the front door.

Babe, this better be something big. I need something big and awesome to get me through this day.
