“Oh god. That is good. I don’t… I’m going to come.Soon.”
“Good. Finish us both off, Madness.”
She leans forward and takes me in her mouth again, and she’s rougher and sloppier in the way she sucks me this time. It’s exactly what I need.
“Fuck, your mouth is so fucking sweet and perfect. So, so fucking good. Gonna fucking come…” I groan and my vision goes black as I feel the fucking wave of it hit me hard. It radiates through my body, and I forget myself for a moment. Too fucking lost in how good it feels to think straight. My eyes open when I realize she’s been swallowing me down, a devious little grin on her face as she swipes at the corner of her mouth. “That’s my good girl. You come with me?”
She nods and hands the pillow back up to me. I can’t help but think how gorgeous she is. Her lips puffy and her cheeks pink. I just want to have her like this always—sated and happy.
“Feel any better?” she asks as I hear her click the massage gun off.
“What pain?” I give her a lazy smile.
“I’ll get you a washcloth.” She stands, bending down to kiss me. I’m half tempted to pull her into my lap, but I know she’d yell at me for risking more pain when she’s worked so hard to give me some relief.
“Thank you.”
She comes back a few moments later, and we both get cleaned up and she puts her clothes back on, settling next to me on the couch.
“I’m sorry for what happened today. I know it’s my fault.” She traces a soft line down my leg.
“It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything. I did. And he can do his fucking worst. He won’t drive me away this time. You know that, right?”
“I know but I’m not sure it’s worth all this.”
“Madness, I’ll do this every week if it means I get to keep you. I don’t think you realize how much I love you. How empty the years without you felt, especially now… when somehow, you’re even more than I remember.” I run my fingers over the soft skin of her thigh, and she places her hand on top of mine.
“I love you, Quentin. I’m just scared, I guess. You’re the only man I’ve ever really loved, and I lost you once and I’m scared to lose you again. That this will all be too much for you. Me and my crazy family. All this drama. It’s a lot. You could have something simpler somewhere else. I know right now it’s new again, but long term…”
“I told you, Madness. You and mealways.”

The next dayafter we wake up late, have breakfast, and take a long morning shower where I can thoroughly catalog all the bruises my father put on him, I’m set on revenge. No contact isn’t enough for me anymore. I want to punish him. Annihilate him. Destroy the man from the inside out, so he can never hurt another person I love. Which is how we end up at Easton’s house with Tobias on a video call listening to me rant about all the ways I hate our father.
“The league will investigate the headhunting. They’ll be fined and punished.” Tobias tries to reassure me.
“Will they? It seems like the refs are in on it. Like the league is in on it. Or at the very least he thinks he has enough power that they won’t try to stop him.”
“I mean, they’ll absolutely fine him. They’ll fine East too.”
“And East’s fine will probably be worse.”
“So be it.” East shakes his head.
“And what’s it going to be anyway… a hundred, maybe two hundred thousand dollars? It’ll barely be enough to get his attention. I want him to hurt for this.”
“Just stay away from him. Not talking to him is the best thing I’ve ever done.” Tobias sounds nonchalant on the other end.
“Did you fucking see what they did to him? He could have fucking died, Tobias. They could have snapped his neck. Dad would have killed him on that field without a second thought. Used his own fucking players to do it.”
“I saw. I’m pissed off too, but he does have a lot of power, Mads. A lot of people on his side who we’ll have to fight uphill against to have him see any kind of accountability.”
“What if we make a statement? The three of us condemning his behavior?” East spitballs.
“He’ll have his PR people spin that so fast.” Tobias shakes his head.
