Xylo heard me. “Ren? Hey, well I don’t know. He didn’t get that far before I was ordered to transfer the case.”

“It’s been less than an hour, Xylo,” Isaias said, a sigh following his words. “Let me know if anything changes.”

“Will do. Take care of your family. Bye Ren.”

Then Xylo hung up, leaving me a little more confused and worried than I had before. Just as I resituated to ask more about it, the shower shut off. I knew we had minutes before Kieran and Joel stumbled into the living and while I wanted answers, I also wanted Kieran to fully become pack. The few hours I had spent with his temporary bite had been part of a dream I didn’t know I wanted as much as I did. Isaias caught on, smirking as he dragged two fingers along my shoulder. They grazed over his bite and then Kieran’s nearly faded one.

A sliver of excitement crawled up my back but I bit back the moan threatening to release itself.

“Seems our Omega is a little territorial, isn’t he?”

I nodded enthusiastically, pushing my anxiety and worries down. “I wouldn’t have him any other way.”

Isaias leaned in to capture my lips, pinching my chin between his fingers and still running his others along our bites while I held our sons. “We got so lucky with them, with our babies.” When he let go, he dipped his head to focus on the babies in my arms, pressing another kiss to their chubby cheeks. They stirred and then settled against my chest, Isaias’ touch further calming them—as if adding his scent to the rest of ours was what they needed to feel truly safe.

“Will Joel be okay?” I finally blurted out just as Isaias stole Elias from me. “Michael got to him, didn’t he?”

Isaias nodded. “I’m sure he will be but Kieran can give him something that neither of us can. While you nurture better than anyone I have ever met, Kieran’s Omega has a touch that Joel needs, that he craves. Even if Joel never asks for it, I can see that he melts differently when Kieran is around.”

I knew what he was talking about because the same thing happened to me. All of my mates met different needs for me but without Kieran, I might have still wondered what I was missing. “And you’re okay with that?” A pitiful sigh left me as I leanedback into the cushions. I was really asking all the hard questions today, wasn’t I?

I expected Isaias to be angry with me but there was only love swimming in his eyes. “I’m okay with making sure that you all have whatyouneed.”

My nose scrunched up at that idea. Joel had that a time or two as well. “Then what about you?”

“I have you, little Alpha,” Isaias said as he ran his nose along my temple. “And Joel and Kieran. The love you three give me iseverything.”

“And the sex?”

He chuckled. “And the sex. Now, I think they’re all done so, why don’t we put our little boys down and see what Kieran’s up for.” I eagerly obeyed, scrambling toward the nest.

KIERAN

Joel’s color had returned to his skin and dressed in fresh clothes, I nearly forgot what had taken place before he had come home. Until my gaze landed on his neck again. Michael wasn’t just dead the next time I saw him. He would endure every last painful thing he did to me and my mates. Every time we suffered because of him, I would make him feel that before he died. And he would die because fuck if I was going to go through this again. The only question left was how.

I stalked back into the living room, eyes peeled for my Alpha. My Omega whined for us to truly greet him after being away but seeing Joel, I had thrown away societal expectations in lieu of who needed me most. Any other Omega would have approached their Alpha first, greeted him, made sure he had everything he needed, andthenapproached their Beta.

Ren came rushing back in from the nest empty-handed, panic trying to overtake me. Rationally, I knew our babies were safe.I took a step back, Joel staying a gentle hand on my waist. “They’re okay, Kieran. I promise.” I wanted to believe that but after Michael had attacked Joel? After he was most likely still out there roaming, waiting for the opportunity to strike again—

Two firm hands settled on my shoulders, grabbing my attention. It was like being consumed by a forest as Isaias stood in front of me, keeping me from retreating again. “Sweetheart, he’s not here.” He leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to the bridge of my nose. “There’s so many things we have to talk about and we will but know that he’s locked away for now.” Isaias released me, giving me the choice to return to our babies or follow him into the living room with our mates.

Both Ren and Joel had told me it was okay to lean. Joel told me that it was okay to be an Omega and as much as I hated my designation at times, I just wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin.

I let Isaias lead me into the living room, sitting me down in the middle of the cushions before kneeling in front of me. Ren and Joel stopped short, watching the scene in awe. An Alpha kneeling for an Omega? Unheard of. Even with my size, years of being around other people told me that my job was to submit and pump out little pups. It was all I was good for. Time and time again, my mates told me otherwise. And in this moment, Isaias was showing me that whatever happened next wasmychoice.

Isaias waited patiently, excitement lingering beneath the anxiety and pain of dealing with Michael. “Happy Valentine’s Day, sweetheart,” Isaias whispered and it was like those were the words I needed to hear, as stupid as they were. I reached forward, gripping his chin between my fingers before dragging him up into a kiss. He let out a full guttural sound that could only come from an Alpha, his hands gripping my thighs as I directed the kiss.

My free hand slipped into his hair as my tongue darted out, pushing against his lips and demanding entrance. Isaias gave in fully, a sly grin creeping onto his face even as we kissed.

“Been dreaming about all three of you but mostly this,” Isaias purred as he pulled away. His gaze darted to my shoulder and then he frowned, sitting back on his calves. “Have you thought any more about what you asked me before I left?” I nodded. “And where you want it?”

His uncertainty confused me until I realized how distant and independent I had been when I first met them. I cupped his cheeks in my hands, a little laugh falling from my lips. “I don’t want to hide any of you. I love all of you too much to do that. I want to show you off, to share with everyone that you’re my pack. It’s… it’s just taking me a little bit to get there, to realize that there’s more than just me to protect our babies.” A sigh of relief left me as I let them in on my worries. “I… he’s done so much to me and I couldn’t separate the past from the future you’ve all promised. But I want it. I want everything.”

“You want to show us off?” Joel asked, reminding me that it wasn’t just us two in the room. I turned to see my Beta hesitantly leaning against the edge of the couch.

“You’re the first ones that have loved me for me, flaws and all. Why wouldn’t I want to show you off?”
