The entire time.

No noise.

It's more than unusual… It's intriguing. But not intriguing enough to forfeit my own gratification. I can circle back to this later.

"I'm gonna blow," I announce as a bolt of lust tears through me and sends me crashing over the abyss.

Col frames my face in his hands, his eyes locked on me as I unload inside him.

"You okay?" he asks when I'm done.

I nod, beads of sweat trickling down my face. "Gonna have to come out now," I whisper hoarsely. "I'll be gentle."

He smiles, wiping some sweat off my forehead. "I know you will."

I ease my way out of his body and collapse onto my back next to him. I can't even be stuffed to take the condom off, so it just hangs there as my dick starts to droop.

"How was that?" I ask, wiping the back of my hand across my forehead.

"I don't have words."

"I'll happily take a rating out of ten."

Col chuckles, but when he turns to me and sees that I'm serious, he stops. "Are you joking?"

"No. I'm not." I lean sideways to face him, my fingertips tracing over his collarbone. "I mean it. How was that? Out of ten? Was it better than your first time?"

"Ah." His lips lift. "So that's where this is coming from. You want to know if you're better than four guys?"

"Maybe." I play coy.

"Wilby." He gets in real close, so close that the tips of our noses touch. "You're better than four…hundred guys."

A rush of warmth floods me, and I have this sudden urge to bundle him up against me. So I do.

His head is resting on my chest, rising and falling with my breathing. My fingers play absently with his hair. "Just four hundred. You sure you didn't mean four thousand?"

His laugh vibrates through my chest. "Only you would be pushing for more."

"I'm one of a kind."

He rests an arm over my lower belly. "That you are. Any more questions?"

"I have a million more questions. I want to know everything about you."

Starting with why he's so quiet when he has sex.

Or what he meant the night we met when he said life's thrown him some curveballs.

Or the question that he never answered at the airport and that's plagued my thoughts ever since—what his favorite feeling in the world is.

But I cast all that to the side, partly because I want to bathe in the magical post-sex glow we're in, and partly because, well, I'm enjoying the mystery of Col Langdon and the way it's unfolding.

I never thought I'd see the guy again, so as far as I'm concerned, this and everything from this moment on, is icing.

But my mind does snag on something else. "How long did you say you have off before you need to work?"

"A few days. Why?"
