He sucks her breasts into his mouth. He nips and licks, succumbing to his desires. Her eyes don't leave his mouth as she watches his tongue lap at her tits. Her climax crashed through her so fast that she didn't realize what had happened. He grabs at her body roughly, pushing her up and down on his dick, riding out her orgasm as her pussy clenches down on him, and he follows quickly after her, filling her up just like he promised.

She stays where she is, plastered to his chest. They are both breathing heavily.

Quiet.

No one wanting to move or break the silence. He inhales her scent deeply, his face in her hair. He embraces her tightly, letting out an anguished sigh. She pulls him in.

“I know,” she croaks into his neck. “Don't say it.”

“I'm going to try to catch the first flight out tomorrow, " he says, kissing her shoulder.

“You don't have to leave, Nash. Rosa is going to be so sad.”

“I do, Melody. I can't be near you and not have you. It's too hard.” He starts to move, pulling up his shorts while she stares at him from the bed. Her body is gloriously unclothed, no shyness or move to cover up, no guilt in her eyes. Just resignation.

“Look, Melody, I already have a meeting with my athletic trainer and coach in a few days. I wanted to get ahead of my classes anyway. I will see my family during the holidays.” He looks over at her, sitting up now. His love bites are turning red, marking her body, painting her as his.

She looks so sad, but even in her anguish, she is breathtaking. He hates that he is the one who put those tears in her eyes instead of the one who wipes them away like he promised himself.

“Take care of yourself, Melody, when you’re ready. You know where to find me.” And with that, he leaves before he does something he would regret, like going back and begging her to keep him.

If he stayed, he would agree to anything she said, even if it meant tearing himself apart.

The door shuts behind him, echoing its finality in an audible click.

He’s gone.

She feels empty and hollow. Like he took a part of her with him, she lays back on her bed and closes her eyes, hoping to undo the last few hours.

She has never felt this before, this numbness.

Why couldn't she say she would take him as he is? Why couldn't she just say ‘to hell with everyone and everything’ and just stay in his arms forever?

At some point, between Melody's musings, she falls asleep. When she wakes again, the room is bright. The afternoon light shining into her windows. She rolls over, away from the offending glow. She pulls the sheets over her head.

It smells like him. She smells like him. And she falls asleep once more, in the invisible embrace of the man she had to let go.

When her eyes open once again, the room is cloaked in blissful obscurity. No more offending cheer.

She gets up to pee, her bladder protesting the long hours of stillness.

Melody doesn't even bother turning on the light or putting on clothes.

She knows her way.

Laying down once more, she can hear her parents murmuring in the hallway asking if she is ok.

She is sure she said something, she isnt sure what exactly but it was enough to get them to go away. They don't pry. They never do.

The next time she wakes, the room is flooded with light again. Groaning at the intrusion, she turns over, away from the window. Instead, coming face to face with Marisol, who seems to have snuck in somehow.
