At that Jackson lifted a brow.

Marco huffed. “I meant that Skinner and Lance will protect them. Jayme and I will just hang out and keep you all company.”

“You won’t be going anywhere near trouble,” Skinner corrected.

Marco smiled.

Skinner growled.

Marco’s smile widened.

“I hope I get to kill this guy,” Skinner mumbled.

“Dibs,” Jackson called. He might not like killing, but if this Cary Jeffers was a threat to Finn or Michael, then he’d slit the man’s throat with a smile on his face.

Michael

After getting a little more sleep, they ended up calling in a service to clean the office, repaint it, and Daddy Finn was letting Michael pick all the new furniture. Jackson had been gone a couple of hours and Michael was really missing him. His Daddy was on the phone with Grant, pacing the small apartment.

He pulled the laptop closer to him, balancing the computer on his knees, trying to decide between new couches. There was a long black leather couch that he knew his Daddy would like but the extra-wide plush gray couch was calling to him. As small as Michael was, he was pretty sure that he could lie like a starfish and not touch a side. Michael enjoyed his naps on the couch while Finn worked on paperwork. Jackson usually joined him while playing on the phone until Daddy Finn would eventually join them for fun. Then Michael would be sleepy again. And sleeping with two men, having enough space could be an issue.

The couch might not be right for an office environment though. If Michael was picking a new couch for their living room, he would totally go with the gray.

Which made Michael wonder if they’d be staying in Finn’s apartment. Jackson didn’t have a place of his own and seemed to just go with the flow. Michael’s shitty apartment was worse than Finn’s. And he did need to decide what to do when his brothers moved away. Michael didn’t see himself staying in that apartment without his brothers to fill the space and quiet.

“I like the gray one.”

Michael jumped and knocked the laptop off his knees.

Reaching over the back of the chair, Jackson rescued the laptop and kept it from hitting the floor. He set it on the couch beside them. He dropped a large envelope on top of the laptop.

“Sorry, baby. I didn’t mean to scare you. I thought you heard me come in.”

“I was distracted.”

“I noticed.” Jackson walked around the side of the chair before sitting on the arm. “What’s up?”

Michael peeked to where Finn was still on the phone. Maybe it would be better to talk to Jackson first. He was never afraid. “Do you think we’ll stay here?”

“Here?” Jackson questioned. “In town?”

“In the apartment,” Michael clarified.

“Oh!” Jackson shrugged. “Your place is a little crowded.”

Yep, Jackson would just go with whatever they decided.

“My brothers are moving away.”

“Michael! Why didn’t you tell me?” Jackson slid into the chair. Half sitting on him. Damn, he was heavy. “Are you okay?”

He shrugged. “I just found out before we went to the cabin. I had other things on my mind.”

Jackson gave him a naughty grin. “Yeah, you did.”

“Dork.” He smacked Jackson’s thigh. “But now…”
